About us

Clyde’s Restaurant Group (CRG) is one of the nation’s most successful and enduring restaurant companies. In 1963, the original Clyde’s opened in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C. The brand has expanded to include properties in Northern Virginia, suburban Maryland, and the District of Columbia: Clyde’s of Georgetown, Clyde’s of Chevy Chase, Clyde’s at Mark Center, Tower Oaks Lodge, Clyde’s of Gallery Place, Clyde’s Willow Creek Farm, Old Ebbitt Grill, The Tombs, 1789 Restaurant, Fitzgerald’s, The Hamilton, The Hamilton Live, and Cordelia Fishbar. Under development is Ebbitt House in Reston, Virginia, slated for a 2026 opening. While each is distinctively different from the next, all of CRG restaurants share the same reputation for exemplary customer service, an unforgettable atmosphere, and thoughtfully crafted menus that balance tradition with brush strokes of innovation. All CRG concepts are committed to the people and the region they serve, proudly fostering an environment of inclusivity, respect, and exceptional hospitality.

  • Celebrating 25 Years of Excellence! Yesterday marked a remarkable milestone for Angela Brimage, our Director of HRIS and Benefits, as she celebrated 25 years with Clyde's Restaurant Group! Angela began her journey with Clyde’s in 2000 as a server at Clyde's of Chevy Chase, and over the years has worn an impressive number of hats - from overseeing payroll company-wide to helping develop and streamline the key internal systems our teams rely on every day to stay connected and supported. Her deep knowledge, unwavering dedication, and genuine care for the CRG family have shaped our culture in countless ways. CRG Chief Operating Officer, Kevin Keller, put it best: “Angela is as big a fan of CRG as CRG is of hers. She embodies what it means to be a Clyde's employee and lives the Clyde's culture. Her service for 25 years has helped shape and define that very culture. She has touched so many elements that make us successful today - supporting countless team members, answering calls and emails at all hours with a smile, and working tirelessly to support our restaurant teams. She takes it personally. It has been my absolute pleasure to work with her for 8 of those 25 years. CRG is lucky to have such a rockstar. Thank you, Angela, for all your past and future contributions to our great company.” Cheers to you, Angela! 🥂 Thank you for your 25 years of dedication, leadership, and heart. We are so grateful to have you as part of the CRG family. Join us in celebrating in the comments! Please share your favorite memory or time spent with Angela!

  • 🌟 Employee Spotlight 🌟 We’re thrilled to celebrate Anielle, who recently marked an incredible 12 years with Clyde's Restaurant Group! Anielle’s journey began at Clyde's of Georgetown, and today she serves as both a Corporate Trainer for CRG and a Top Gun server at Clyde's Tower Oaks Lodge. When asked what first drew her to Clyde’s, she shared : “What initially got me interested in Clyde’s was the reputation. I had several friends and acquaintances who worked at different locations, and they all said the same thing: it’s a great place to be. I was a stay-at-home mom for four years, and once my kids went off to school, I didn’t want to just sit around. I needed something more, and Clyde’s offered that.” What’s kept her here more than a decade later is just as meaningful: “Corporate wasn’t some distant, mysterious entity. They were right there in the mix with us, hands-on and involved. There’s always room for growth, movement, and opportunity here – and the people are amazing to work with!” Outside of work, Anielle enjoys hiking, fishing, writing poetry, family game nights, and spending time with her kids, cat, and birds. And when it comes to the menu? “I’m completely obsessed with our Elote Loco. Seriously, it’s so good.” Anielle, thank you for your passion, dedication, and heart. We’re so proud to have you as part of the Clyde’s family!

  • ✨ A Full Circle Moment at CRG ✨ We are proud to spotlight Erin Claire, General Manager of 1789 Restaurant, Fitzgerald's, and The Tombs - three of Clyde's Restaurant Group's iconic concepts, all housed together in one historic property at the edge of Georgetown University. For Erin, this milestone is more than a new chapter - it’s a homecoming. A proud Hoya graduate, she began her career in hospitality in 2010 as a Front Waiter at The Tombs while studying at Georgetown. After graduation, she moved into management at The Tombs before continuing her career at Clyde's of Georgetown. She then joined Old Ebbitt Grill, where she rose from Manager to Assistant General Manager, and in 2023 accepted the position of General Manager at Clyde's of Chevy Chase, where her leadership helped the restaurant achieve its strongest guest satisfaction and financial performance in years. This spring marked Erin’s 15th anniversary with Clyde’s Restaurant Group, and, in a true full circle moment, her return to the Hilltop to lead 1789, Fitzgerald’s, and The Tombs - the very restaurants where her journey first began. Through every role, Erin has been inspired by the way hospitality teams care for and support one another through the energy and chaos of the industry. That spirit of camaraderie continues to drive her leadership every day. CRG could not be prouder of all Erin has accomplished - or more excited for what lies ahead under her guidance at these storied Georgetown institutions. Please join us in celebrating Erin! Cheers! #Leadership #Hospitality #CRG #Georgetown #FullCircleMoment
