CD&R was delighted to once again sponsor Berlin Global Dialogue, a forum bringing together leaders from business, government and academia to address some of the world’s most pressing economic and geopolitical challenges. It was a privilege to return to Berlin last week – engaging with such a diverse group of thinkers and changemakers - and to contribute to the discussion through our participation in the panel “The End of Predictability? Adapting Enterprises to the Geopolitical Age.” At CD&R we believe private capital has a vital role to play as a partner to change—supporting companies as they navigate complexity, drive transformation, and build long-term resilience. Our thanks to the organizers and participants for such a thoughtful and engaging dialogue. We look forward to continuing the conversation next year. #BerlinGlobalDialogue #Leadership #Geopolitics #PrivateCapital #Sustainability #Partnership

They highlight financial services as an attractive sector, citing ongoing opportunities driven by resilience, fragmentation, and the potential for operational and technological transformation. "Having a team of people that wakes up every single day thinking about financial services makes you far less likely to miss out on some fantastic deals, and establishing a formal vertical allows us to do this." — David Winokur Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/e5WaqrA4

We’re excited to announce that, alongside American Securities, we have entered into a definitive agreement to sell Foundation Building Materials (FBM) to Lowe's Companies, Inc. in a transaction valued at approximately $8.8 billion. CD&R completed its strategic investment in FBM – a leading North American distributor of interior building products – in January 2024. Over the course of our successful 18-month partnership, FBM has established new avenues for growth through strategic acquisitions and well-resourced organic growth initiatives. We wish Ruben Mendoza and the entire FBM team continued success as part of Lowe’s. Read more here: https://lnkd.in/g-Bqeuxa

Last month, our European team proudly hosted the third annual Spring Insight Programme, welcoming 20 ambitious and curious students eager to explore a future in private equity. Over three days, they engaged with CD&R team members at every level and across all verticals—gaining meaningful insights, asking thoughtful questions, and building a clearer picture of what it’s like to grow a career at CD&R. We were really impressed by their passion for learning and for the industry. (Hear more from them in the video below!)
