Clark County is launching its first-ever Community Land Trust, a new program designed to make homeownership attainable for first-time buyers. The CLT will allow residents to purchase a home while the trust retains ownership of the land, helping homeowners build equity and ensuring long-term affordability in the community. The first phase of the CLT will include 240 homes for residents earning around 80%–100% of the Area Median Income, generally between $50K and $95K per year. Want to learn more or apply? Wednesday, November 19 • Now until 8:00pm - Warm track - Mostly open to the public, but there are barriers and potential traffic restrictions in place to allow for rapid transition to a closed track. • 8:00pm - Transition - Track closures begin with roads closing. • 10:00pm - Hot Track - Track closed Thursday, November 20 • 3:00am - Warm Track - track reopens to local traffic. • 1:00pm - Transition - Track closures begin with roads closing. • 3:00pm - Hot Track - Track closed Expect delays in and around the track - plan routes accordingly. Congratulations to our Clark County Public Defender Drop-In-Center. It was recently recognized by the National Association of Counties (NACo) Achievement Awards program. The awards recognize innovative county government programs aimed at improving the lives of citizens and service delivery. The Drop-In-Center is less than a year old but has already had an impact on hundreds of people in danger of falling through the cracks of the justice system. This one-stop resource center is designed to assist those who face challenges in completing court ordered requirements. Along with dealing with issues, the Drop-In-Center provides a safe place that’s helping people get their lives back on track

It's surplus auction time in Clark County. Along with other government agencies in the region, the county is participating in sales hosted by JJ Kane Auctions through next Wednesday. The auctions feature vehicles, equipment and miscellaneous items. Items for sale are on JJ Kane’s website, www.JJKane.com under the listing for Western Regional Government Surplus Timed Auction. Online bidding is now open - the website has information about registering as a bidder and the terms for participation. Public Preview - Friday, November 14 and Monday, November 17 Many items being sold can be seen in-person at JJ Kane Auction’s Southern Nevada location during these on-site preview days.
