The council will vote on the City Manager's recommendation for the next fire chief for Longview next Thursday, June 12, at 5:30 p.m. Rolin McPhee has recommended the selection of Greg Grimes, who has over 25 years of experience in the fire service and holds a master’s degree in Occupational Safety. He currently leads the Allen Fire Department’s Operations Division, where he manages and coordinates the department’s public education, training, and emergency response efforts.
