It's Fraud Awareness Week, an international effort that serves as an opportunity to heighten public awareness about the pervasiveness of fraud, promote anti-fraud training and education, and encourage best practices in risk management and control. At the City of Tallahassee, we recognize the commitment and expertise of our auditors, investigators, accountants, internal controls specialists, and compliance officers who work diligently every day to establish safeguards, detect illicit activities, and educate the public and their colleagues on the risks and methods of fraud. Their work helps residents and our organization and fosters a climate of integrity and trust. In recognition of their contributions, a proclamation was presented at this week's City Commission meeting. #talentliveshere #fraudawareness
