The City of Cincinnati, Department of Public Services, seeks independent contractors to supplement City crews on an on-call, as-needed basis for snow removal and de-icing. Contractors will generally service residential streets—defined as streets with 25 mph speed limits, low traffic volumes, little through movement, and primarily providing access to abutting property—but may assist on other street types if requested. Deployment depends on available equipment and staffing, with a preference for fully staffed units capable of handling every event. Contractors must provide all necessary equipment, supervision, and labor. Click here for more info and to apply: https://lnkd.in/guSU8QGE

I’m honored to be moderating the “Bridging the Gap Through Impact” panel at the upcoming 2025 SEGD Conference Experience San Francisco, taking place November 13–15. In this thought-provoking session, our dynamic panel will delve into the theme of IMPACT — how we define it, experience it, and instrument it through our work in design and practice. Together, we’ll reflect on the ways impact shapes our work and how we can better connect academia and industry. Audience participation will be central to our conversation — your insights as students, educators, and practitioners are essential to exploring how we collectively create meaningful impact and bridge the gap between learning and doing. Join us on November 15 — let’s build impact together! "Ultimately, impact for me is not something I create for communities, but something we build with them — through relationships, shared learning, and the ongoing practice of care and collaboration.” — Neeta Verma
How do we prepare the next generation of experience designers? Moderated by Joell Angel-Chumbley, MFA, SEGD (University of Cincinnati DAAP; City of Cincinnati; SEGD Board Member; SEGD Academic Task Force Chair), this mainstage panel brings together Tim McNeil (UC Davis), Gerald Sastra (RISD), Neeta Verma (University of Notre Dame, retired), and Maurice Woods (Inneract Project) to explore how academic programs and professional practice can better align. Drawing on new findings from the SEGD Academic Task Force, the panel examines how mentorship, co-ops, and recognition shape readiness—and how design education can evolve to meet the evolving needs of the profession. It’s a conversation about legacy, leadership, and the responsibility we share in shaping the future of experience design. 💡 Join us for three days of design, dialogue, and discovery—where every idea shapes what comes next. 🎟 Designing Possible Futures – 2025 SEGD Conference Experience San Francisco | November 13–15, 2025 🔗 Register now at https://lnkd.in/etUQ4Rgh #DesignersOfExperiences #SEGDConference #DesigningPossibleFutures #ExperienceDesign #DesignEducation #DesignCommunity #Mentorship #DesignLeadership #AcademicDesign
