Lawyers who insist on doing things the way they’ve always been done will soon face a market that simply won’t tolerate it. This shift isn’t just about efficiency, it’s about client expectations. If ChatGPT can draft a solid legal brief in 30 seconds, it’s hard to justify billing clients 8 hours for the same work. Clients don’t care how we’ve always done it. They care about speed, clarity, and results. The challenge isn’t AI. The challenge is fear. But smart firms aren’t scared. They’re getting curious. They’re experimenting. They’re asking: How can we use this to serve clients better? They've already adapted to significant technological changes, such as the Internet and smartphones. They're going to adapt to AI, too.
