Big news: A marine business is expanding into Stuart, FL and releasing its inaugural invention--a boat uniquely engineered to seamlessly accommodate both inshore and offshore fishing. In the latest edition of our monthly newsletter, Martinomics, we interview John Slattery of Catch Boatworks, visionary of the Catch 27. Highly successful in venture capital, John never lost his lifelong love of being on the water. Now in his second retirement, he organized a team of engineers who designed the Catch 27, which can float in as little as 12 inches of water while still featuring the dimensions needed to navigate an offshore chop. The boat will soon be available through direct purchase. We're especially appreciative of John crediting the quality of our professional services with persuading him to expand in Stuart. We can't wait to celebrate the maiden voyage of the Catch 27! Welcome to our community, Catch Boatworks! https://lnkd.in/eMxMipKx

Due to our mission and commitment to strengthening the local economy, the Business Development Board of Martin County welcomes opportunities to share more about our mission, efforts, and services. Thanks to our Pulse visits, diverse programming, and annual awards ceremonies—sold-out events for six consecutive years—we’ve expanded our network, forged new partnerships, and secured key achievements in economic development. Still, some people remain unfamiliar—or even skeptical—about the work of the BDB. We’d like to directly address the more common questions, misconceptions, and criticisms. Read a recent column by BDBMC Executive Director William T. Corbin, CEcD in Martinomics that answers some of the more common quesitons. https://lnkd.in/eFHSTnQv
