Our team recently traveled to Holbox, Mexico, for an immersive culinary journey that brought us closer to the flavors, traditions, and culture that have shaped bartaco from the start. From preparing cochinita pibil in a traditional Maya pib, to learning from cocineras tradicionales, visiting a biodynamic vanilla farm, taking a hands-on cooking class with Chef Inés, and sharing fresh ceviche after a morning fishing trip, each experience deepened our connection to the coastal Mexican inspiration behind our menu. A highlight was visiting Oido.co and seeing the passion, skill, and hospitality of its culinary students — we’re proud to support their work and the impact they make in their community. I am thrilled & grateful to share my promotion to Director of HR & Payroll at bartaco. I am extremely proud of all of the work I have accomplished with our incredible teams this year from rolling out our new service model brand wide to implementing a new gratuity platform for our teams to have the best experience to following the rollercoaster of federal and state labor laws constantly changing to our upcoming annual benefits open enrollment and so much more. In this new role, I will continue to expand my focus in employee relations, labor compliance, total rewards and wellness, continuing to create experiences and offerings that support and engage our incredible team. Recently, bartaco has been recognized with a Designated Healthy Workforce- Wellness Award from Cigna Healthcare, one of the world’s largest and most respected medical benefits carriers. This award is a testament to our continued commitment to putting our people first and creating a workplace that supports the health and overall wellbeing of every team member.
