Many people assume vaping is safer than smoking, but the reality is more complicated. In our latest Baptist HealthTalk episode, pulmonologist Dr. Sosa breaks down what’s actually inside vape products, how vaping affects the lungs and why teens and young adults are at higher risk of addiction. He explains how one pod can equal a pack of cigarettes, how flavors make quitting harder and why many people stay hooked even when they try to stop. He also shares what parents should know about the hidden risks that aren’t always obvious when a vape looks harmless or “light.” This episode is a helpful resource for anyone trying to understand today’s vaping culture and why it’s so easy to get pulled in.
