💚 From rock bottom to recovery — and now, giving back. There was a time in my life when I was a drunk with no purpose, blind to what was happening around me and to me. I turned to cocaine to “fix” my problems, but it only pulled me further down. On 11/3/19, I received the call that changed everything — my twin brother Brad had passed away from an overdose. That moment became my wake-up call. My first step was detox, and then I found my way to Avenues in Metairie. Four years later, I’m proud to say I’m now an employee of the same company that helped me rebuild my life — an OG alumni member, walking the path of recovery and approaching five years clean and sober.
