The Arapahoe County Courthouse was filled with music and celebration on Friday, Nov. 14, as families, judges, Human Services staff, Court Appointed Special Advocates, and elected officials gathered for #NationalAdoptionDay. Nine children across eight families finalized their adoptions, including the rare adult adoption of Jacob! Hear his story. Wondering about the bigfoot shirts? A new chapter in Arapahoe County’s regional approach to homelessness began this month with the opening of the Aurora Regional Navigation Campus, a first-of-its-kind facility that brings together shelter, services and transitional housing under one roof.
