We always talk about #precision and how much it matters, but what do we really mean when we talk about 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 and 𝐭𝐨𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬? Ever tried putting a puzzle piece in the wrong spot, but it looks like it fits there? 🧩 It’s close... but not quite right. That’s basically what tolerances are all about in manufacturing. When we make metal parts, every cut and hole has to be the right size but machines (and humans!) aren’t perfect. So we set a tolerance, which means how much a measurement can be off while still working just fine. For example: if a part is supposed to be 10.00 inches long, and the tolerance is ±0.05, that means anywhere between 9.95 and 10.05 inches is good to go! ✅ Too tight? Parts might not fit. Too loose? Things could rattle or fail. That’s why we aim for the perfect balance every time. 💡 Tolerances = controlled perfection. It’s how Ameritex makes sure everything we build fits, functions, and lasts.
