  • A powerful piece in The New Yorker examines the devastating human cost of USAID’s shutdown. For more than sixty years, USAID earned bipartisan support and operated on a modest budget—just $24 per American each year—yet helped save an estimated 92 million lives. Now, as The New Yorker reports, approximately 600,000 people have died, two-thirds of them children. It will take years to grasp the full impact on communities that relied on USAID’s life-saving work. At the Alliance for American Leadership, we are committed to doing everything in our power to help restore Humanity Aid. Leadership means unity, compassion, and responsibility—values that transcend party lines and define what America stands for. #AllianceForAmericanLeadership #USAID #AmericanLeadership #BipartisanAction #HumanitarianAid

  • 🌍 U.S. foreign assistance plays a vital role in promoting democracy, advancing global stability, and ensuring that America’s engagement abroad reflects the values of our people. 🇺🇸 A recent CSIS analysis highlights how potential reductions in democracy, human rights, and governance programs could affect progress made in global development and institutional resilience. 💡 Sustaining these efforts is not about politics—it’s about preserving long-term partnerships, stability, and the shared principles that underpin effective international cooperation.

  • A nationwide survey of 1,200 likely voters, conducted by McLaughlin & Associates (Oct. 26–29) and reported by Newsmax, found that 77% of Americans support U.S. foreign aid when it advances national interests and uses American-made goods. Americans overwhelmingly want smart aid — programs that strengthen our economy, security, and leadership while saving lives abroad. Here are some of the reported estimates 📊 -81% favor sending U.S.-made therapeutic food to starving children. -78% support providing American-made prenatal vitamins to women in developing nations. -73% back public-private partnerships that deliver aid directly and efficiently — priotizing the use of U.S. products and putting taxpayer money to benevolent use. This is further evidence that Americans don’t reject helping others — we want aid that helps us too. #Leadership #Policy #Manufacturing #ForeignAid #EconomicGrowth #A4AL

A wonderful reception last night with Alliance for American Leadership (A4AL)! It was incredible to hear a former ambassador speak on the critical need for foreign aid at a time when American influence on the world stage is faltering. Tens of millions around the world depend on the U.S. for food, clean water, basic essentials, and life-saving medical care. Providing that aid isn’t just the right thing to do; it’s essential to our national security and global reach. To reiterate the speaker’s words: If America doesn’t fill that gap, someone else will. Thank you to Rina Bruk Levy, Asher Moss, Nicole Rodgers, Michael Belitzky, and the rest of the A4AL leadership for organizing a stellar event with high turnout. Joining this growing team has been such an amazing personal and professional investment. So excited for the many great things to come! #Diplomacy #AmericanLeadership #ForeignAid #NationalSecurity #A4AL

  • Amazing event last night with the Alliance for American Leadership! 🇺🇸 Turnout was phenomenal, and it was an incredible opportunity to kick off our national tour for global aid. A huge thank-you to National Intelligence University Professor Thaddeus Phillips, who emphasized how strategic foreign aid is critical to counter our adversaries, including China. As A4AL Executive Director Asher Moss highlighted last night, our mission remains the same: to lead the nationwide effort for effective foreign aid and to restore American leadership where it matters most. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this incredible evening. Mark your calendars: Our next event is December 16, 6–8 PM Wet Dog Tavern, 2100 Vermont Ave NW, Washington, DC 20001 RSVP: https://lnkd.in/eq7yRR4M

Throwback to our Launch in Old Lyme! 🎥✨ The words of our Executive Director remind us that even in times of crisis, Senators Barack Obama and John McCain stood united on one principle: America is strongest when it leads with purpose — not just power. Both leaders believed that foreign aid isn’t charity — it’s strategy — a way to prevent conflict, build partnerships, open markets, and strengthen America’s influence through cooperation, not coercion. Our Executive Director recently reflected on this same message, emphasizing that bipartisanship remains essential to sustaining American leadership through USAID and other development efforts. When we invest in stability abroad, we help build and sustain the prosperity and security we pursue at home. At Alliance for American Leadership, we’re proud to continue that legacy — leading with vision, values, and unity. 🌍🇺🇸 #A4AL #LeadershipByExample #BipartisanLeadership #SmartAid #USAID #DiplomacyWorks #PeaceThroughProgress #AmericanLeadership #Throwback

  • So many wonderful initiatives have emerged in response to the dismantling of international assistance and development programs! Two former senior leaders from the U.S. Department of Labor’s Bureau of International Labor Affairs have officially launched their new joint venture — the Better Trade Collective. This initiative builds on decades of work, expertise, and dedication to protect workers and strengthen global supply chains. Their launch comes at a critical moment. Many technical assistance programs in labor and trade have been significantly reduced — a reminder that when current systems fail to uphold their due diligence, others step up to confront the consequences and drive reform. The Alliance for American Leadership was founded with a similar sense of urgency: while we don’t address the same gap, we are confronting the ripple effects these gaps create — weakened global partnerships, reduced humanitarian capacity, and a growing mistrust in American leadership. Our mission is to restore international aid, rebuild trust, and change the conversation — that aid isn’t charity. It’s strategy. Security. Protection. Like the Better Trade Collective, the Alliance is built on collaboration and partnerships — bringing together advocates, professionals, and citizens who believe principled American leadership can change lives at home and abroad. #BetterTrade #HumanitarianAid #A4AL

🌍 Announcing the Better Trade Collective We’re proud to launch the Better Trade Collective — a new initiative built on decades of experience in labor rights and trade enforcement, and grounded in one shared belief: every supply chain should be free of forced labor and rooted in respect for workers and communities. Better Trade was founded to strengthen and complement the incredible work already happening across this space. We are deeply grateful to the advocates, companies, government partners, and worker organizations whose leadership and collaboration continue to drive progress. What We Do We partner with companies to prevent and remediate forced labor with credibility, confidence, and care. Our work combines: ✅ Regulatory expertise – drawn from years shaping U.S. and international labor enforcement guidance. ✅ Worker-informed solutions – embedding worker voice and local engagement into prevention and remediation processes. ✅ Practical strategies – tailored, actionable roadmaps that help companies strengthen resilience and compliance simultaneously. Why It Matters Given global regulations and enforcement under U.S. and EU laws, companies need credible, trusted partners. The Better Trade Collective bridges the gap between compliance and meaningful worker engagement, helping businesses build supply chains that are responsible, sustainable, and resilient. We thank all those who have guided, supported, and inspired this work. We look forward to collaborating with you to build a practical approach to addressing forced labor in supply chains, one that’s compliant, reputationally strong, and grounded in meaningful engagement with the workers and communities whose labor drives global economies. Let’s build Better Trade, together. #BetterTradeCollective #LaborRights #ForcedLabor #EthicalTrade #ResponsibleBusiness #SupplyChains
