Advancing AI Readiness for all students across America.
About us
The AI Education Project (aiEDU) is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit devoted to making sure that all students are ready to live, work, and thrive in a world where AI is everywhere. We work with education systems to advance AI literacy and AI readiness through high quality curriculum, professional development, and strategic partnerships with states, school districts, and other systems. We need to redefine skills for an AI-driven future and recognize the transformation underway changes what students to keep up and compete. There is an urgent need for AI Readiness in education—and it is only growing. The world will be divided by those with access and those without. This moment demands a national coalition that’s aligned behind a shared vision—or we risk leaving millions of students behind.

Have you taught your kids about deepfakes yet? What about your parents? 😆 Alex speaks with co-host Dr. Aliza about how he helped his own father spot deepfakes, and how the same technique could work for students who are learning about AI. 🎧 Hear more in our latest episode of 𝘙𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘐: • YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gfWg9XfG • Spotify: https://lnkd.in/g8qbZBVz • Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/gJqut9vk

“When should my kids learn about AI?” 🎒 On this episode of 𝘙𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘈𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘧 𝘈𝘐, we answer questions from parents about AI. Whether it’s developing everyday habits to build critical thinking or setting clear boundaries for schoolwork, Alex and Dr. Aliza explain how to help your kids become AI-ready — fluent with AI tools, appropriately skeptical, and proud of their own human advantage. One consistent insight was that AI readiness is a vital skill for all kids to learn, in a manner that’s appropriate for their age and education level. The best way to ensure that is to help educators and parents also become well-versed in the mechanics and ethics surrounding AI technology. 🎧 Listen to our latest episode now: • YouTube: https://lnkd.in/gfWg9XfG • Spotify: https://lnkd.in/g8qbZBVz • Apple Podcasts: https://lnkd.in/gJqut9vk

We’re thrilled to announce the launch of 𝗔𝗜 𝗦𝗻𝗮𝗽𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘁𝘀: 𝗘𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗜 𝗢𝘂𝘁𝗽𝘂𝘁𝘀, a new collection of 10 classroom-ready activities designed to help middle and high schoolers build the habits to interact thoughtfully with AI. In today’s world, AI tools deliver quick, convenient answers with confidence. However, their outputs are often wrong, biased, or incomplete. These short, engaging activities prompt students to pause, verify, and make smarter decisions about when to trust (or question) AI-generated content. Learn more and download the AI Snapshots here: https://lnkd.in/gHHzU6cu Also, you can join our free training in two weeks on how to use them: 📅 Thursday, November 20th @ 6–7pm ET 📍 RSVP via Zoom: https://lnkd.in/gUdfqdjS

Our very own Alex Kotran was featured on a CBS News segment that highlighted the work happening in a classroom in Queens, NY. In the piece, Meg Oliver explores how some teachers are returning to handwritten, in-class essays to prevent AI-assisted work. Alex reframes this as an opportunity to embed AI-ready teaching and learning rather than an opportunity to get more ‘widgets’ into classrooms. Watch the full segment here: https://lnkd.in/g6X6YK6h
The CBS Evening News segment on teaching by and AI that I was interviewed for finally went live last night ! It was great speaking with you Meg Oliver 🙏🤩
