Both Jody Conrad, MBA and Jennifer Biddlecombe will be attending Mines and Money at Resourcing Tomorrow from 2 - 4 December in London. You can find us with our partners at the IMDEX booth. This event is the anchor of London Mining Week, bringing together global mining, investment, government, energy, and technology leaders to tackle the critical challenges shaping our industry. For us, it’s a fantastic opportunity to connect with clients and partners, discuss regional challenges and opportunities, and explore how technology can unlock new possibilities for the mining sector. If you’re attending, make sure to connect with Jody and Jennifer - we’d love to see you there! #ResourcingTomorrow #MinesAndMoney #MiningInnovation #TechnologyInMining #IMDEX #KruxAnalytics

📢 Key Takeaways from My Interview with Allison George, Co-chair of WIM UK Policy & Research Committee Women In Mining UK (WIM UK) on the vital role of women in the mining sector, the initiatives driving change, and the industry's adaptation to geopolitical shifts. Her insights underscore that mining is fundamentally geopolitical and that creating an inclusive and productive culture is paramount to the sector's future success. Key Takeaways: Impactful Initiatives: WIM UK's internships result in 50% of women securing full-time employment. The WIM 100 provides global visibility to women excelling in fields like sustainability and engineering. Cultural Challenges: Data shows 45% of women feel workplace culture prevents advancement, underscoring the need for better psychological safety and addressing toxic behaviours. Mining is Geopolitical: Allison noted that mining is inherently political. The industry is responding to supply chain tensions by increasing vertical integration and seeing non-traditional players (like auto and AI companies) enter the space. 💡 Advice for the Next Generation For the over 150 students attending Resourcing Tomorrow, Allison offered two pieces of powerful advice: Lean into Problem-Solving: The world today is a "blank canvas" facing unprecedented issues (climate risk, social license to operate, resource access). Young professionals should see themselves as problem-solvers for an industry that is fundamentally a "service for humanity." Filter, Don't Ignore, Feedback: Refuse to let others' experiences dictate your unique path. Instead of ignoring advice, look at the motivation and expertise of the person giving it—listen to a Baker if you want to bake bread. It was an honour to host this conversation and we look forward to continuing this partnership with the WIM UK team at Resourcing Tomorrow December 2-4. #Mining #WomenInMining #ESG #CriticalMinerals #Geopolitics #TalentPipeline #ResourcingTomorrow https://lnkd.in/eycHzJYv
