I'm seeing a massive demand for experienced marketeers across Omics recently, right across the globe. Over the past few weeks the most frequent theme of my calls has been around Marketing, and the fact that many businesses are looking at bringing in credible profiles earlier, rather than later. This marks an interesting change from the last year or so, where I can confidently say a majority (not all, but a lot) of my hires have been across Sales/Business Development. Many businesses have been after profiles with the so-called "hunter mindset." This is still a major need, however I'm seeing the focus shift slightly, as businesses are growing awareness of gaps in two areas: - Product marketeers who can translate sequencing + bioinformatics into clear customer value - Technical storytellers who can differentiate complex platforms and position offerings in an increasingly crowded market Curious - are you seeing the same, and if so, why now?
