World Mental Health Day 2025 🌍🧠 Work has a profound impact on our mental wellbeing. While employment can give us purpose, connection and confidence, it can also lead to anxiety, stress and burnout if not properly managed. Did you know? ➡️ In 2023/24, an estimated 776,000 workers in Britain reported suffering from work‑related stress, depression or anxiety. ➡️ That same year, 16.4 million working days were lost due to these conditions. ➡️ By 2025, 7.5 million UK workers reported struggling with their mental health at work, yet feel unable to disclose it to their employer. ➡️ Mental ill health is now the most common cause of long‑term absence, accounting for 41% of long-term sickness leave according to recent data. ➡️ On average, UK workers now lose 9.4 days per year to absence, with mental ill health being a major contributor.
