Finding a cure for follicular lymphoma faster!

About us

The Follicular Lymphoma Foundation is the first organisation in the world dedicated solely to finding new treatments and cures for follicular lymphoma. Follicular lymphoma is a currently incurable blood cancer. The FLF was founded by Nicola Mendelsohn three years after her diagnosis with the disease and is focused on funding and facilitating work that will take new treatments and cures for the disease from bench to bedside in the quickest possible timeframe. We are doing this by disrupting and challenging the current thinking on how to find a cure for this disease, by mobilising patients and investing in the most promising scientific and research discovery approaches.

Experienced event professional with a background in law and finance. I encapsulate strategic thinking and meticulous planning to every project. As a blood cancer survivor, l've channeled my journey into advocacy.

Honoured to attend the Unlock the Cure Gala 2025 for the second year as a Follicular Lymphoma patient and survivor. A year on, my perspective has evolved; living with FL comes with uncertainty, but also deep gratitude for the progress being made and the community working tirelessly behind the scenes. Thank you to the Follicular Lymphoma Foundation , Emma France , Nicola Mendelsohn CBE , and all the generous supporters whose commitment is helping push research forward and move us closer to better treatments and, one day, a cure. Proud to stand alongside a mission that offers real hope to people like me. • It's been one a week since our incredible FLF meet up in central London and our hearts are still full. It was so wonderful to see so many from the community coming together and meeting in person. It was a great opportunity to share stories, build relationships and learn from one another.💜 We also celebrated a special milestone. The Living with Follicular Lymphoma group marked its 10-year anniversary and welcomed it's 15,000th member on the evening. Shout out to Diageo and their wonderful team for hosting us. We'll be sharing some footage from the night very soon. Stay tuned!

What an extraordinary evening! ✨ Co-hosting the #UnlockTheCureGala was once again a privilege, and I am so grateful to everyone who joined in to make the night a huge success! This community never fails to show what is possible when generosity and purpose come together. Together, we have raised an amazing £900,000 which will allow us to continue driving research forward and helping to find a cure for follicular lymphoma. This incredible achievement is a testament to what we can accomplish when united! Whether you pledged, donated, bid, gave an auction item, sponsored, or supported us in any other way, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Every act of kindness helps us move closer to a future where “incurable” no longer exists. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and special thanks to our incredible sponsors for the evening: @DMG Media @T&P @News UK @Coolr @Diageo @Universal Music Group @LetterOne And a special shout-out to the brilliant Tania Bryer for being such a wonderful MC! • What a night! 🔓💜 Thank you to everyone who joined or supported us at the Unlock the Cure Gala, an evening filled with generosity, connection and hope. We’ve already surpassed last year’s total, raising an incredible £900,000 so far, with every pound bringing us closer to unlocking the cure.  As our CEO Emma France said last night: “‘Treatable but incurable’ has never been good enough, and it shouldn’t be. Together, we’re closing that gap faster than ever before.” That determination was echoed by Nicky Greenhalgh, Founder of the Facebook Group Living with Follicular Lymphoma, who shared her story of living with FL and reminded us all why this mission matters: “For the first time, I don’t feel alone. The Foundation and this community give me real hope that one day, we won’t have to live with this disease.” Together, this extraordinary community is helping us fund groundbreaking research, unite the world’s leading scientists, and bring new treatments to patients faster, moving closer to a future where “incurable” no longer exists.  Thank you to our sponsors: dmg media, T&P, News UK, Diageo, Universal Music Group UK, Coolr, LetterOne Thank you to Tania Bryer OBE for being the most wonderful host once again. Thank you to Kerry Ellis, whose stunning performance lit up the room and made the night even more unforgettable. 🎤✨ And a final big thank you to Nicola Mendelsohn CBE and Jess Burley for making this the great night it is.

  • Last week, our Global CEO Emma France represented the Follicular Lymphoma Foundation at the Milken Institute Future of Health Summit in Washington, DC. The summit brought together leaders, funders, and scientific innovators committed to shaping the future of health and accelerating progress for patients. Emma contributed to a panel led by Giselle Leung with Chris Marsh and Michael Hund, where the discussion focused on the role of venture philanthropy in de-risking early science, strengthening translational research, and building stronger pipelines for future treatments and cures. The conversations throughout the week highlighted the urgent need to improve investment pathways in rare diseases and to remove the barriers that slow down scientific progress. These themes are central to FLF’s mission. We are committed not only to funding research but to shaping the ecosystem required to cure follicular lymphoma by convening partners, investing early, encouraging intelligent experimentation, and always keeping patients at the centre. We are proud to see the FLF's mission represented on the global stage and grateful to the many collaborators and partners who continue to work with us to drive faster cures. Every connection strengthens the momentum toward a future free from follicular lymphoma.
