Goodbye, data centre. It’s been a ride. Today I switched off the last piece of hardware at Colossus Bets’ rack in Pulsant’s Manchester data centre. That single “click” marked the end of our on-prem era, after 7+ years running in a hybrid world. We’re now fully in AWS: more scalable, more observable, less metal to babysit. That’s the future. But let’s be honest: none of this would have been possible without the reliability and support we got from the M247 (before) and Pulsant (recently) teams over the years. They kept us running through challenges most people never see. When things got rough, they were there. Infrastructure changes. Partnerships matter. Thanks, and here’s to what comes next.
We've always been proud of the length of service that a lot of our staff have under their belts with us. Today marks 10 years at the company for Manuel Zulian, our current head of C# / Tote development. Manuel has been instrumental in a lot of our progress over the years, both in developing the technology that powers our pools and designing the systems that our team utilise to manage our day to day operations.
