A huge welcome to Valeria B. and Joshua Contreras, who have just joined our Austin team! 🌱 We’re very excited to have these two with us, each bringing their own personality, story, and spark to Brightsmith. Valeria is someone who follows growth wherever it shows up. Whether she’s trying new restaurants or curating outfits on Whering (she used to make her own clothes), she’s always learning from the world around her. From her first conversations with Brightsmith, she felt the genuine care and purpose behind the work. Sustainability resonates with her on a personal level, and she’s excited to bring that values-led mindset into what we do every day. Joshua brings a different but equally brilliant energy. A natural leader who holds his family name with pride, he thrives on connecting with people and pushing himself outdoors, golfing, running, fishing, or braving the Barton Springs cold plunge. He joined Brightsmith to learn from new perspectives and stretch himself professionally. His interest in sustainability comes from wanting to help build infrastructure that lasts and learn from the minds shaping that future. We’re so excited to welcome them to the team! 💚 #liveyourpurpose #lifeatbrightsmith #workwithus

Clean energy finance is shifting gears. This week, our Investment Insights reveal where confidence has returned. Enlight Renewable Energy Ltd (ENLT) secured US$1.44 billion for its Snowflake A solar plus 1,900 MWh battery project in Arizona, a clear sign that large scale solar-plus-storage is now baseline. Highview raised £130 million to launch phase one of its 3.2 GWh long-duration storage facility at Hunterston, Scotland. Brookfield Renewable Partners announced a US$650 million equity raise via LP units and a private placement, proof that proven platforms still attract big capital. In Canada, the government is investing just under $100k in Gamotech to scale zero-emissions mobile energy systems. Generate has raised over US$1 billion in the past year to fund distributed energy and circular-resource infrastructure. The pattern is unmistakable: capital is converging on scale-ready technologies and operators. The market isn’t just stabilising, it’s accelerating. This is where the momentum is growing!

🌬️ What does it take to deliver clean energy with communities, not just to them? At Kenya’s Lake Turkana, a wind farm powering over 12% of the nation’s electricity, success wasn’t just about megawatts. It was about local trust, deep engagement, and long-term commitment. In this episode of Conversations in Cleantech, Anmay Dittman, Managing Director and Head of the Climate Finance Partnership at Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP) (part of BlackRock), shares what it really means to invest in emerging markets - from navigating complex risks to building shared value on the ground. 📍Hosted by Jenny Gladman and Isabella Rova, this episode is a powerful look at the future of climate capital, where infrastructure meets inclusion. 🎙️ Catch the full episode here - https://bit.ly/3D54ZM5 #ConversationsInCleantech #ClimateFinance #LakeTurkana #WindEnergy

🌍𝗧𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗶𝗻 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵 🌍 Innovation doesn’t slow down and neither does investment across the clean energy landscape. From game-changing batteries to large-scale solar and next-gen materials, here’s what’s powering the week ahead: 🌿 Charwood Energy Group is partnering with ENGIE Energy Solutions to deliver a 250 kW biomass boiler in Châteaumeillant, France. Once operational, it’ll supply 800 MWh of renewable heat annually, cutting emissions by ~137 t CO₂ each year. 🔋 Captery Technology has landed new funding for its breakthrough AA battery, capable of charging in just 160 seconds and lasting for decades. A small step for a battery, a huge leap for sustainable consumer tech. ⚙️ Electra has unveiled its clean iron demonstration facility, backed by advanced purchase commitments for its low-carbon iron and environmental attributes, a major milestone in decarbonising heavy industry. ☀️ Recurrent Energy has secured $825 million to advance major solar + storage projects in Arizona, reinforcing the state’s position as a clean power hub in the U.S. Southwest. 🏠 Enpal and M&G have strengthened their partnership with a €700 million joint warehouse, unlocking financing for residential solar and heating loans across Europe, expanding access to clean energy at home. Cleantech keeps proving that scale, speed, and sustainability can coexist, and this week’s milestones are a reminder of how fast that future is arriving. #liveyourpurpose #lifeatbrightsmith #workwithus
