About us
Back in 2007, friends James Watt and Martin Dickie from the the North East of Scotland, were bored of the industrially brewed lagers and stuffy ales that dominated the UK market. They decided the best way to fix this undesirable predicament was to brew their own beers. Consequently, BrewDog was born. Two men, one dog & a mission to make other people as passionate about great craft beer as we are is how it all started. 16 years later - +3000 crew mates globally. 4 state of the art breweries - Ellon, Columbus, Berlin & Brisbane. +100 bars. 220,000 Equity Punks. The UK's fastest growing brand and the top craft beer brand in the world. The mission remains. But this is only the beginning.

Well, I know what my first Friday beer is going to be now.
Buzzing to see Counter Strike West Coast IPA finally hitting the shelves of my local supermarkets. From initial moodboard and name ideas for 4 different routes which was narrowed down to 2 routes and eventually landed on the final design that felt right for the beer. From there it went through the artworking process and into a full photoshoot to bring it to life. One of the biggest things I've gained from my time at BrewDog, so far, is being given the freedom to run with a project and to be involved in the art direction of how the product lives outwith the can design itself. Big thanks to the people who helped bring it all together from the design side Barry Snow and Mikey Chang for getting stuck into the early concepts and finessing the design, Natalie Houston for sorting the artworking, Rebecca Yeoman and Jade Fraser for keeping the GoodShip team running smoothly and Euan Jennings for making the final can look incredible on camera. and Katie Young for making me stand and get my photo taken like a 5 year old kid who's just won best reader in the class award 😅

Why wait for rumours to start… When you can just write them yourself and stick them on a billboard? That’s BrewDog’s move. They’ve launched a new campaign made entirely of fake-but-plausible headlines about themselves. Such as this one - along with: “BrewDog launch new IPA that only exists on LinkedIn” “Scrap HR department. Launch therapy dog scheme instead.” None of it’s real. But it’s close enough to make you wonder. As marketing moves go, this one’s great. What’s the best fake headline someone could write about you?
