Yesterday the Government confirmed a ban on the supply and sale of wet wipes containing plastic in England, which is a positive step for our communities and the environment. We acted early, removing all wipes containing plastic from sale in 2023 and moving to biodegradable plant based alternatives, and we label all Boots brand wipes "Do Not Flush" to help prevent sewer blockages and microplastics. 🌍 Steve Ager, our Chief Customer and Commercial Officer, said: "We were proud to be one of the first retailers to remove wipes containing plastic in 2023. We welcome the government's action; a ban will have a much bigger impact than retailers acting alone."

As part of our ‘Keeping Yourself Safe’ campaign, this week our Security, SOS and Crime Intel teams are getting behind the National Business Crime Centre’s Safer Business Action Week. The week focuses on the ongoing police and partnership response to tackling retail crime, anti-social behaviour and other crimes impacting businesses in the local communities. The teams will not only be out and about in stores supporting them on the ground, but they’ll also be attending key meetings with the Police, Business Crime Reductions Partnerships and Business Improvement Districts, to continue to tackle retail crime. Last year’s Safer Business Action Week resulted in seven prolific offenders arrested, more than 900 events logged on Auror, our incident reporting system, and 3,994 two-way panic alarms triggered into the CCTV Monitoring Centre (CMC), as well as thousands of positive interactions with local retailers and businesses about the issues they face. #SaferBusinessActionWeek

Our 2025 Christmas campaign has arrived and we are excited to share the full 90 second extended TV advert. 🎄✨ This year, we are inviting everyone to #GiftHappilyEverAfter as we reimagine the classic fairytale for today’s customer. The story follows our feline protagonist Puss, who is faced with the challenge of finding last minute gifts ahead of the Snow Queen’s Ball. He turns to his trusty mirror for advice, which sends him on a journey from snowy fairytale land to a bustling UK high street in search of the perfect Christmas beauty gifts for his beloved friends Rapunz, Snowy, Cinders and Prince Charming. Want to know more about how the 2025 Christmas advert was made? Watch the behind the scenes video here: https://lnkd.in/e5UX75bJ 🎬

This year, Boots and No7 Beauty Company are the UK headline sponsor of Purple Tuesday, marking an important moment in our five year partnership to help improve the experience of disabled customers and colleagues across the retail industry. 💜 Our Chief Healthcare Officer and Exec Sponsor of our disAbility Alliance Business Resource Group, Jamie Kerruish, joined Mike Adams OBE, Founder of Purple Tuesday, at the Piccadilly Circus lights switch-on to call for accessibility every day, everywhere, and for everyone. At Boots, we’re committed to making our shopping, workplace and product experience more inclusive. This year, we’ve continued to build on that commitment by: ✅ Introducing new bitesize British Sign Language training for store and support office colleagues ✅ Launching a store accessibility survey to help teams identify and remove barriers for disabled customers ✅ Rolling out an Inclusive Product Design Guide and eLearning to support colleagues designing the products we create and sell Find out more at our Newsroom:
