Last week we gathered outside to support BBC Children in Need Thousand Mile Challenge. Across the British Isles, 42 teams from BBC radio stations completed the challenge. Then, inspired by the teams, BBC Look North’s Amy Garcia and Lindsey Burrow took on the Thousand Mile Challenge Extra leg – walking 30 miles three-legged across North, South and West Yorkshire, passing right by us so we had to cheer them on. The weather was ideal, but it was great to see the comradery and people supporting Lindsey and Amy as they took on this enormous challenge to raise money for this incredible cause. Their efforts contributed to the over £45 million raise for Children in Need this year. Congratulations on your amazing achievement ladies!
