    Loved kicking off yesterday’s breakfast session with Agile Retail and meeting so many great new people. We talked about how essential people still are to great retail and how that’s evolving as our world becomes more mobile-first. The question of whether constant phone use is affecting our ability to connect sparked a brilliant conversation.   • It's been a huge first month for the Fanatics Manchester Pop-Up. The first four weeks have delivered incredible moments, community energy, and record-breaking results. A massive thank you to everyone who visited, supported, and helped bring it to life. We kicked things off with an unforgettable in-store appearance from UFC star Paddy “The Baddy” Pimblett, who joined us for an exclusive pack opening of the new UFC x Topps release. He shared stories from his career, talked rivalries and the hobby, and even signed a stack of cards. To celebrate the launch of the new Manchester City Team Set, the Man City Official Podcast took over the store alongside club legend Joleon Lescott. At the same time, Fanatics Live streamed the product reveal directly from the shop, bringing Manchester’s energy straight to fans watching at home. And today we are bringing the Fanatics Trade Night up north for the first time, partnering with Manchester Card Con to create a night centred on the city’s collecting culture. Collectors can trade, complete sets, connect with creators, and share their passion in a space built specifically for the Manchester community. Opening weekend set the tone for the month, with record-breaking sales on day one, goody-bags for the first 100 visitors, and celebrations that drove footfall and excitement. The response from fans, collectors, partners, and the wider community has been incredible. And the best part? We’re only just getting started.   • 2025 has been quite the year for the retail experience at John Lewis & Partners. In the last 11 months alone, they have added an in-store repair service nationwide, upgraded and bolstered their beauty offering considerably, and they are now launching a VIP members lounge over Christmas for their loyalty scheme members. We've said it before, but it's worth restating; it's always encouraging to see some of the UK's biggest retailers roll out truly experiential retail. In the words of Rosie Hanley, Brand Director at John Lewis, the focus is on "investing [...] to offer unique, service-led experiences".
