Severe burnout damages the same brain regions as alcoholism. Healthcare often prescribes better work-life balance. 💬 "Women are just more prone to stress." 💬 "It's part of being a working mother." 💬 "You need better work-life balance." These responses ignore the biological reality. Burnout has measurable, physical markers. The research is clear: 👉 Women are 49% more likely than men to have raised cortisol levels 👉 Women with high burnout show blunted cortisol output in response to stress 👉 Hair cortisol increased 29% median in healthcare workers during high-stress periods 👉 Burnout leads to HPA axis dysfunction, fatigue, depression, and suppressed immunity 👉 Women experiencing burnout have 27% higher odds of developing metabolic syndrome 👉 Burnout lowers TSH and T3 levels, causing brain fog, fatigue, and weight changes 👉 Neuroimaging shows structural brain changes in areas controlling emotion and stress This isn't weakness. It's measurable biology. Women aren't inherently more stressed. We're often managing more responsibilities with less support in systems often not designed for us: 👉 Women aged 35-54 in the UK have 50% higher work-related stress than men 👉 27% of women report extreme stress vs 21% of men 👉 Women are 2x more likely to be diagnosed with anxiety disorders The medical response should match the biological reality. Test cortisol. Assess HPA axis. Evaluate thyroid. Support immune recovery. Instead, we get lifestyle advice for a biological condition. Burnout recovery requires more than bubble baths. Your nervous system needs regulation, not just rest. Your body needs to learn the threat has passed. Breathwork is a physiological intervention that: ✅ Regulates your nervous system in real-time ✅ Signals safety to your overactive stress response ✅ Lowers cortisol through direct intervention ✅ Resets your HPA axis when stuck in overdrive ✅ Addresses biological markers of burnout Our Aeva breathwork expert Fini Cooper shares some incredible nervous system regulation techniques using your breath. 📲 Access the full breathwork here: https://lnkd.in/eMR8he94 An incredible practical tool when your body is stuck in stress mode. At Aeva Health, we don't treat burnout as a character flaw. We treat it as a health condition requiring proper care. Have you been told your symptoms were "just stress"?

Creatine can reduce depression symptoms in women. It was previously only marketed to gym bros. The supplement industry spent decades marketing creatine to men. Built an entire narrative around muscle mass and bodybuilding. Women learned to avoid it. Feared "bulking up." Worried about weight gain. The science tells a completely different story: 👉 Women have 70-80% lower endogenous creatine stores than men 👉 Recent randomised controlled trials show no significant weight gain in women after creatine supplementation 👉 Creatine improves cognitive function, memory, and may enhance antidepressant efficacy 👉 Supplementation can reduce depression symptoms, especially when combined with antidepressants 👉 Higher daily intake (≥13 mg/kg) correlates with lower risk of pregnancy complications 👉 Post-menopausal women see increased bone mass and improved bone geometry 👉 Enhances muscle strength across menstruation, pregnancy, and post-menopausal stages 👉 Boosts cellular hydration and improves exercise recovery, especially during luteal phase 👉 Safe for long-term use with no significant adverse effects in women This isn't coincidence. It's biology. Your brain produces and uses creatine constantly. It's crucial for energy metabolism in neurons. When stores are low, cognitive function suffers. Mood regulation struggles. Energy production falters. Women naturally have lower stores than men. Yet we were initially told the supplement wasn't really for us. The "bulking" myth isn't based on evidence. It's based on marketing. For women, creatine matters for different reasons: 1️⃣ Brain and mental health: 💡 Improves memory and cognitive function 💡 Can reduce depression symptoms, especially alongside antidepressants 💡 Enhances antidepressant efficacy 2️⃣ Bone and muscle protection: 💡 Increases bone mass post-menopause 💡 Maintains muscle during hormonal transitions 💡 Not for bulk, for preservation 3️⃣ Reproductive health: 💡 Reduces pregnancy complications 💡 Supports baby development 💡 Improves cellular hydration 3️⃣ Recovery and energy: 💡 Maintains glycogen stores 💡 Supports recovery, especially during luteal phase when thermoregulation is suppressed Many women with: → Depression or cognitive fog → Perimenopause muscle loss → Post-menopausal bone density concerns → Chronic fatigue → Pregnancy planning Could genuinely benefit from supplementation. Research shows it supports women's unique physiological needs across our entire lifespan. At Aeva Health, we focus on personalised nutrition tailored to your individual needs, life stage, and health conditions. Women are 2x more likely to have depression. We're also 2x more likely to have gut issues. Coincidence? 📌 This disconnect explains why so many women don't respond to conventional treatment long-term. 📌 In England, 24% of women report a common mental health condition vs 15% of men. 📌 For young women aged 16-29, it's 26%—nearly 3x the rate of young men. Yet research focuses on brain chemistry. Often ignores the gut-brain axis. Women are often offered SSRIs before anyone checks gut health or nutrient deficiencies. The science reveals a pattern: 👉 IBS affects 14% of women vs 8.9% of men 👉 Women with IBS are 2.4x more likely to have constipation 👉 90% of serotonin is produced in the gut 👉 Gut bacteria produce GABA and dopamine that interact with the nervous system via the vagus nerve 👉 Inflammatory gut conditions double depression risk in women 👉 80% of young women with IBS also experience migraines, pelvic pain, or chronic fatigue 👉 Vitamin D deficiency increases depression risk by 31% 👉 B12 and folate deficiencies can mimic or worsen depression Women have more gut dysfunction. And a higher rate of depression. This isn't coincidence. My mood improved when we healed my gut. Some women need antidepressants. But many also need gut healing. Both can co-exist. We're often too quick to resort to pills rather than addressing root causes. I lived this for 8 years. Multiple pill boxes for one day. 📌 The future of mental health treatment is integrated. 📌 Looking at the whole system, not just the brain. When healthcare ignores the gut-brain connection, women suffer longer and remain trapped in symptom cycles. This is why I built Aeva Health. An integrated platform tracking symptoms across all body systems. Connecting gut health to mental health, sleep to hormones, stress to metabolism. We're opening our last founding member spots. Registration closes Friday, 21st November. • Your exhaustion isn't laziness. It's cellular dysfunction happening at the mitochondrial level whilst everyone tells you to "rest more." Here's what's really happening when chronic conditions cause fatigue: →Your cells can't produce energy efficiently →Inflammation disrupts mitochondrial function →Nutrient deficiencies starve your cellular powerhouses →Hormonal imbalances sabotage energy production pathways The current approach: "You're just tired. Sleep more. Reduce stress." The reality: Your cells are literally struggling to create the energy you need to function. At Aeva Health, we investigate fatigue as cellular crisis: 💫We examine nutrient status that impacts energy production 💫We assess inflammation markers disrupting mitochondrial function 💫We connect thyroid dysfunction to cellular energy metabolism 💫 We understand how autoimmune conditions create systemic energy depletion This is why "rest more" fails. You can sleep 10 hours and wake exhausted because the problem isn't quantity of rest. It's quality of cellular energy production. We don't treat tiredness. We investigate why your cells can't fuel your life and address the root causes systematically. Tired of being tired? Discover our approach to cellular energy restoration.

  • We're not here to replace your doctor. We're here to complete the picture that traditional healthcare leaves incomplete. The NHS gives you a diagnosis. We help you understand what your body needs to thrive with it. → You're on thyroid medication but still exhausted → Your PCOS is "managed" but symptoms persist → IBS treatment focuses on restriction, not healing →The gaps between specialists leave you connecting dots alone What we're not: We don't replace medical treatment. We don't contradict your consultant. We don't promise miracle cures. What we are: ✨ The bridge between your medical team and your daily reality ✨ The system that connects what your endocrinologist and gastroenterologist never discuss ✨ The platform that translates medical management into optimal living ✨ Your advocate in a system that treats symptoms, not people Healthcare should be collaborative. Your GP manages your condition. Your consultant monitors your levels. We help you understand how sleep affects your thyroid, why stress triggers your autoimmune flares, and how nutrition impacts your hormone balance. The result? You become an informed partner in your care, not a passive patient managing symptoms in isolation. We're building the missing piece in women's health. The connection between medical care and meaningful recovery. Healthcare should work together. Discover our collaborative approach.

The women's health market will hit $58 billion by 2029. 84% of women still report being dismissed by their doctors. Nine years ago, I was one of them. Lying in bed with severe Hashimoto's. Unable to work. I searched desperately for solutions. Every app I found tracked periods or fertility. Or general fitness, sleep, mood and energy. Also very little was science-based, evidenced-led or data-driven. Nothing connected the dots between my gut issues, my sleep problems, my anxiety, and my autoimmune flares. I needed integrated care. I got fragmented solutions. Today's femtech landscape shows how little has changed: 👉 Market valued at £36.5 billion in 2025, projected to reach £46.6 billion by 2029 👉 Over half of femtech targets reproductive health and menopause only 👉 84% of UK women report being ignored or dismissed by healthcare professionals 👉 46% on NHS gynaecology waiting lists wait over 18 weeks, 30,000 wait over a year 👉 60,000 UK women out of work due to menopause symptoms, costing £1.5 billion annually 👉 Poorly managed women's health costs the UK £11 billion annually 👉 Women with multi-systemic conditions face significant care gaps with no integrated support 📌 Don't get me wrong, progress in reproductive health has been remarkable. 📌 Every woman deserves better fertility, period care, and menopause support. But millions are still unsupported: ❕ The woman with Hashimoto's juggling five specialists who never talk ❕ The entrepreneur with PCOS whose anxiety spikes with hormones (PCOS and thyroid dysfunction often co-occur, yet no one connects them) ❕ The mother with endometriosis who knows gut health affects pain but can't find integrated treatment or support Women are more than reproductive systems. We're all interconnected beings. Our gut affects mood. Sleep impacts hormones. Stress influences everything. When I understood these connections, everything changed. I put myself in remission by treating my body as an integrated system. That's why I built Aeva Health. Not because I saw a market gap, but because I lived the problem. We have cycle tracking connected to complete health data. Your hormones don't exist in isolation from digestion, sleep, or stress. Our V2 launches early next year for women with chronic conditions who want long-lasting solutions, not just symptom management. 📌 Every day, women tell us they finally feel seen, heard, and connected. 📌 That's not a business metric. That's lives changed. Want to stay up to speed with our business updates, launch and get the latest women's health insights? 📩 Sign up to our newsletter: https://lnkd.in/ea4_x4bc What connections in your health do you wish you understood better?
