Important: Hearing Wellness is only available on the Pixel Buds Pro, Pixel Buds Pro 2 and Pixel Buds 2a.
Hearing Wellness gives you context about how often you're exposed to high volume levels. Use volume level notifications to alert you when the recommended exposure limit has been exceeded.
What's considered loud?
Listening to volumes above 80 dB for extended periods can eventually affect your hearing. Here are some examples of noise sources and their decibel levels:
- Whispering – 30 dB
- Normal conversation – 60 dB
- Office noise – 70 dB
- City traffic – 80 dB
- An approaching train – 90 dB
Review volume levels
Review the current volume level of your earbuds measured in decibels (dB) and your exposure levels over the past 24 hours or past 7 days. Exposure measures your listening volume over time. As you listen, your exposure accumulates towards a maximum recommended amount.
