    Earlier this month, Jonathan Fitzpatrick made his first trip to APAC as CEO of Subway, joined by Miguel Piedra, Chief People & Corporate Affairs Officer, and Joseph Hsu, President of the APAC region. From bold new formats to a sizzling focus on hot food offerings, these markets show how Subway continues to grow globally while staying true to local tastes. In China, Jonathan visited our new flagship restaurant — the 1,000th Subway location, opened this summer in Shanghai by our Master Franchisee. It’s a strong example of fresh design, local flavors, and smart digital tools that connect with today’s consumer. With the right team and partners in place, we’re on track to open 4,000 restaurants in this fast-growing market. In South Korea, the team was energized by the market’s turnaround and culinary innovation. With modern, high-performing restaurants in prime locations, strong operational excellence, and strategic local partnerships that keep Subway part of the culture, this market is setting the pace for smart, sustainable growth.   • Subway® Korea recently hosted its Digital Partnership Luncheon in Seoul, bringing together executives and key representatives from partner companies.    The event celebrated the successful completion of a digital renewal initiative that has transformed Subway® Korea’s app, kiosk, and POS systems, and marks a key milestone in Subway® Korea’s ongoing digital journey.   The luncheon opened with welcoming remarks from Insoo Cho, Managing Director for Subway® Korea, who expressed gratitude to all partners for their commitment and resilience throughout the project.   During the session, Subway® Korea unveiled its future digital strategy, emphasizing the goal of delivering a seamless and unified Digital User Experience across all guest touchpoints - from the Subway® app to in-restaurant kiosks and POS systems.   The event concluded with a shared vision for continued partnership and growth.   • Great training is the foundation of great restaurants. And our latest franchisee course in Brisbane proved just that. With 12 new Franchisees and two new Territory Team members joining us from ANZ and the Philippines, the week was a powerful mix of in-restaurant learning, online modules, and instructor-led classroom sessions - all made possible by the incredible support of our Territory Teams and CORE (Centres of Restaurant Excellence) restaurants. Huge shout-out to the many individuals who were called out by name for their support - from Lisa, Wendy and Paula in New Zealand, to Harish, Kelly and Rahil in Australia, Flor, Jean and Clint in the Philippines, and many more.
