The 2025 Tech Challenge has wrapped up, celebrating the creativity and teamwork of young innovators shaping the future of mobility. Co-organized by HYUNDAI CRADLE Singapore and HMGICS, the Tech Challenge is one of our annual hackathons for students, giving them hands-on experience in designing solutions for real-world mobility challenges. This year, students from five schools including UWC South East Asia Dover and East campuses, School of Science and Technology, Singapore, Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), and the GESS - German European School Singapore spent 13 weeks developing solutions to the challenge: “How can we improve the passenger experience for those of diverse needs?” Supported by the NLB Singapore's MakeIT spaces, teams transformed ideas into prototypes through workshops in 3D printing and laser cutting, culminating in their final presentations at HMGICS. Congratulations to all participants, and special recognition to the top winning team! Initiatives like this reflect our shared commitment to empowering the next generation and inspiring inclusive, human-centered mobility solutions. #HyundaiInnovationSG #HMGICS #HyundaiSingapore #HyundaiSG #Hyundai #TechChallenge #STEM

HMGICS has donated a locally produced IONIQ 5 to the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), giving students hands-on access to production-level EV technology. The IONIQ 5 will support student projects in sustainable mobility and Design AI, where artificial intelligence works alongside humans as a creative partner. These initiatives will help students design electrified powertrains and smart, human-centric vehicle systems that prepare them to lead Singapore’s future mobility ecosystem. This donation supports the next phase of SUTD’s Project EVAM, a student-led initiative to design and build a full-sized electric sports car, and the university’s first automotive Capstone project. Together, these programs cultivate engineering and design talent while strengthening Singapore’s EV and innovation capabilities. Through partnerships like this, HMGICS continues to grow with Singapore and empower future engineers, designers and innovators to shape a more sustainable mobility future. #HyundaiInnovationSG #HMGICS #HyundaiSingapore #HyundaiSG #Hyundai #FutureMobility #EV #SUTD #Innovation

Since its launch in 2023, HMGICS has been growing with Singapore as a hub for innovation, smart manufacturing, and meaningful community engagement. In celebration of our CSR first anniversary, we are launching new youth-focused programs to foster curiosity, skills, and sustainability. Together with OceanX, we are connecting Singaporean students with first-hand experiences in ocean exploration, robotics, and sustainable mobility. As a start, local secondary school students explored the OceanXplorer and joined interactive workshops at HMGICS. This collaboration will continue through the HMGICS Annual Hackathon in 2026, sparking interest in science and sustainability. In partnership with Temasek Foundation, HMGICS has also embarked on a long-term collaboration to strengthen youth development. Through this year’s TF-SCALE programme, 240 students from ITE and ASEAN schools participated in immersive learning across advanced manufacturing, future mobility, and sustainability. Together, we aim to provide youths with work-ready skills and platforms for sustainable innovation in future collaborations for youth programmes. From learning journeys and hackathons to sustainability projects and talent development, HMGICS remains committed to grow with Singapore and creating meaningful opportunities for innovation, education, and positive community impact. Singapore and Korea are celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations and friendship. At HMGICS, we marked this milestone by bringing together students from Westwood Primary School, the Singapore Korean International School, community members, and the Embassy of Korea for a day of cultural exchange. The event was opened by Mr Kim Min, Deputy Chief of Mission, Minister and Consul-General, who shared his remarks before students discovered Korean traditions such as Maedeup (traditional knot crafts), Hanji paper art, and the dynamic rhythms of Samulnori, performed in harmony by Singaporean and Korean students. In line with our spirit of human-centric innovation, guests also joined Discovery Tours of the Smart Farm and Skytrack, experiencing how culture and technology come together at HMGICS. #HyundaiInnovationSG #HMGICS #HyundaiSingapore #HyundaiSG #Hyundai #SGKR50
