QatarEnergy signs agreement for Guyana offshore exploration block QatarEnergy has signed a Production Sharing Agreement for shallow-water Block S4 offshore the Cooperative Republic of Guyana. The block was awarded through the 2022 Guyana Licensing Round. Under the terms of the agreement, QatarEnergy will hold a 35% share, while its partners TotalEnergies (the operator) will hold 40%, and PETRONAS will hold 25%. Commenting on this agreement, His Excellency Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, the Minister of State for Energy Affairs, the President and CEO of QatarEnergy, said: “We are pleased to secure this exploration block in Guyana, further building on the strategy to expand our global upstream exploration activities.” His Excellency Minister Al-Kaabi added, “I would like to thank the Government of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana and our partners in the block for their valued support and cooperation. We look forward to working together to deliver on our exploration objectives.” Block S4 covers an area of 1,788 km2 and is situated approximately 50-100 km from Guyana’s coast, in water depths of 30-100 meters. #QatarEnergy #YourEnergyTransitionPartner #Qatar

قطر للطاقة توقع اتفاقية لاستكشاف منطقة بحرية قبالة سواحل غيانا وقعت قطر للطاقة اتفاقية مشاركة بالإنتاج في المنطقة S4 البحرية الواقعة في المياه الضحلة قبالة سواحل جمهورية غيانا التعاونية. وقد تم منح هذه الاتفاقية ضمن جولة التراخيص التي أجرتها غيانا عام 2022. وبموجب الاتفاقية، ستمتلك قطر للطاقة حصة تبلغ 35%، بينما ستمتلك توتال إنرجيز (المشغّل) 40%، وشركة بتروناس 25%. وفي معرض تعليقه بهذه المناسبة قال سعادة المهندس سعد بن شريده الكعبي، وزير الدولة لشؤون الطاقة، العضو المنتدب والرئيس التنفيذي لقطر للطاقة: "يسعدنا الحصول على هذه المنطقة الاستكشافية في غيانا، مما يعزز استراتيجيتنا في توسيع أنشطتنا الاستكشافية حول العالم." وأضاف سعادة الوزير الكعبي: "أود أن أشكر حكومة جمهورية غيانا التعاونية وشركاءنا في هذه المنطقة على دعمهم وتعاونهم القيّمين، ونتطلع إلى العمل معاً لتحقيق أهدافنا الاستكشافية." تغطي المنطقة S4 حوالي  1,788كيلومتراً مربعاً، وتقع على بعد حوالي 50 إلى 100 كيلومتر من سواحل غيانا، في أعماق مياه تتراوح بين 30 و100 متر. #قطر_للطاقة⁣ #قطر
