We are excited to be working on this incredible project, led by Martin Scott with the support of Thomas Mooney. Exciting times ahead!
Today Simeon Brown announced the Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Rapid Capacity Expansion Program which includes five off-site manufactured 28-bed wards in; Nelson, Wellington, Waikato, Middlemore and Hawke’s Bay. https://lnkd.in/gk-i8EmN This is a clear example of our 'Building Hospitals Better' approach in action: ✅ One national design ✅ One procurement ✅ One delivery programme ✅ Five hospitals delivered faster and for better value For decades, every hospital project has been bespoke, slow, and siloed. The Rapid Capacity Programme shows there is a better way: national scale, repeatable design, modern methods of construction, and smarter procurement. If we apply the same principles to larger projects across the country we will have a chance of addressing the health infrastructure gap. Congratulations to the team at Southbase Group, I'm really excited to be working with you Ignite , Jacobs, TSA Riley, WT (New Zealand) and Crown Infrastructure Delivery Ltd to deliver this fantastic programme. What an awesome few days at the LAPA 2025 Conference in Auckland! A huge shout-out to our team from WT (and Billie Cleeve for pulling this together!) who stepped up to share thought-leadership, practical insight and candid stories with the property and infrastructure community: · Warren Wilks on “Project Management: How to recover when projects go horribly wrong” reminding us that recovery is just as important as conception. · Alex Hampshire on a shared panel for “Asset Management: You can’t go from zero to hero, where do we start!” which was a fresh take on building capability and momentum. · Jason Power and Tim Lott on “Project Infrastructure Costs” diving into cost planning with defendable contingencies and managing costs during delivery. Thank you to Local Authority Property Association ( LAPA) for bringing together such a dynamic community of local authority property professionals, and for the opportunity to learn, connect and share. If you were at LAPA2025 - let’s connect! We'd love to hear your favourite session, your “aha” moment, or what you’re going to action when you get back to the office. Here’s to leveraging what we’ve learned and driving even better outcomes across our portfolios, projects and places. #EmpoweringGrowth #TeamWT #Lapa2025

This year’s Summit marked a powerful moment for WT - a celebration of who we are today and where we’re heading next. As we launched our 2029 strategy, the energy in the room was incredible. Every conversation, every idea, every story reminded us that the true strength of WT lies in our people - united by purpose, grounded in values, and driven by possibility. From inspiring director panels to the laughter, connection and shared pride that filled the day, this year’s Summit wasn’t just about setting a new direction, it was about fuelling the future together. We can’t wait to share more about the new momentum behind our strategy - and how it will shape the way we grow, collaborate, and create impact across New Zealand and beyond. Here’s to the next chapter. #EmpoweringGrowth #TeamWT #WTSummit2025

A great addition to Queen Street - and an incredible team to bring it to life. We are excited to kick off this project alongside Precinct, Icon and our project partners. Together, we’re helping shape spaces where people can live, learn, and thrive in the heart of Tāmaki Makaurau.
Precinct is proud to announce the commencement of our 638-bed purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) development at 256 Queen Street, Auckland - a major milestone in our strategy to deliver world-class living experiences. This $201 million development is part of our broader $3.7 billion development pipeline and builds on the momentum of our recent strategic PBSA partnership at 22 Stanley Street. Together, these projects bring our committed student accommodation pipeline to 1,602 beds - a significant step toward meeting the growing demand for high-quality student housing in Tāmaki Makaurau. The 256 Queen Street PBSA project is targeting a 5 star Green Star ‘NZ Excellence’ rating and is located near the University and midtown amenities and will be completed for the 2029 academic year. We’re proud to be working with Icon Construction, to deliver this best-in-class studio-style accommodation project.
