At COP30, our dialogue with NKT focused on a shared challenge: securing the right materials to strengthen Europe’s power grids. ⚡️ Earlier this year, Hydro and NKT signed a long-term agreement for low-carbon aluminium wire rod, supporting NKT as they scale medium and high-voltage cable production across Europe. During COP30, we welcomed representatives from the Norwegian Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries and Norway’s Ambassador to Brazil to our operations in Pará, Brazil. 🇧🇷🤝🇳🇴 Together with our teams on the ground, they saw how we work with bauxite residue solutions and visited our water treatment facilities at Hydro Alunorte. A meaningful opportunity to share insights, strengthen dialogue, and show the everyday work behind responsible aluminium production. Norway in Brazil

We are pleased to have secured new USD 1,600 million and USD 800 million sustainability-linked revolving credit facilities! The margin of the facilities will be adjusted based on our progress to meet annual targets to reduce CO2 emissions per tonne of hot metal from electrolysis. 🌍 “The successful refinancing is a testament to the strong relationship between Hydro and our core banking partners. The favorable terms and smooth execution reflect the deep trust cultivated over many years. Hydro has made the final investment decision for its largest hydropower development in over 20 years. Construction of the Illvatn pumped storage power plant in the Luster Municipality, in Norway, will begin this November, with operations expected to start in 2030. At #COP30 in Belém, Hydro and the Nobel Peace Center unveiled the Peace Bench, a symbol of dialogue at the heart of climate action. 🤝 Made with aluminium supplied by Hydro, the bench brings our story full circle, from bauxite in the Amazon to a place where the world sits down to talk about its future. 🌎 The Peace Bench was designed by Snøhetta and fabricated by Vestre.
