Payroll Accounting Consultant

A leader in the life sciences industry is seeking an experienced Payroll Accounting Consultant to support the end-to-end readiness of a new Shared Services Centre. You’ll help build core payroll accounting processes, drive Day-One readiness, and collaborate with global teams as the organisation prepares for go-live.

Responsibilities

• Develop payroll accounting process documentation, workflows, and SOPs with global stakeholders.

• Prepare training materials and onboarding packs for SSC teams in Pune.

• Identify process gaps and risks and support UAT, dry runs, and SAP configuration validation.

• Support change management efforts, including communication of payroll-related process updates.

• Define KPIs, embed internal controls, and ensure compliance with audit and regulatory standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience in payroll accounting or payroll–to–GL processes, ideally within an SSC environment.

• Strong understanding of SAP and process readiness activities such as UAT.

• Ability to create clear documentation, SOPs, and training materials.

• Experience partnering with global and cross-functional teams.

• Detail-focused, structured, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced transformation setting.
