We are proud to share that Steven Olson, early partner and long-time advocate of Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award 2025 at The Spirits Business Awards. This prestigious recognition celebrates his five decades of significant impact on the world of agave spirits. A pioneer, mentor, and educator, Steve has championed traditional production, community integrity, and the preservation of the Single Village spirit since the very beginning of Del Maguey. We also celebrate that Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal was named Runner-up for Brand of the Year Tequila/Mezcal, earning praise for the ongoing work with families and communities in Oaxaca and Puebla for more than 30 years. We are proud to collaborate with Pernod Ricard and UNITAR to implement the Autosobriety programme, an innovative initiative addressing the risks of alcohol in traffic. Using virtual reality technology, participants experience firsthand how alcohol affects vision, concentration, coordination, and reaction times—in a safe and controlled environment. Aligned with the UN Global Road Safety Performance Target 9, we reaffirm our commitment to reducing alcohol-related accidents and fatalities by 2030. In 2025, House of Tequila has trained over 600 individuals, including 65 students at the Jalisco Regional Education Center and 300 Pernod Ricard employees during Safety Day in Arandas. Even the Secretary of Road Safety in Jocotepec now requires participation in our programme to obtain a driving license. Celebrating 30 Years of Liquid Art with Del Maguey Single Village Mezcal at London Cocktail Week 🍹 Del Maguey celebrated its 30th anniversary at London Cocktail Week with a series of events highlighting the richness and tradition of artisanal mezcal. From October 9 to 19, attendees immersed themselves in the world of mezcal through a variety of experiences. The highlight was on October 16th with a special Bartender Training and Media Lunch featuring early partner, Steve Olson. Steve shared his extensive expertise, offering a deep dive into the world of traditional mezcal-making for our industry community.
