Such a wonderful time at Bosch Rexroth in Milan to discuss about the impact that AI is having in the robotics industry. Special thanks to Paolo Lonati for hosting this amazing panel with Luca Magnabosco from NTT DATA. AI is changing the way robots perceive their operating environments thanks to advanded computer vision models and better hardware. We are now able to create user-friendly interfaces to allow robots operators to interact with the machine in a seamgless way. Looking ahead, verbal communication between robots and human is an exciting development. Imagine being able to setup your AMR or humanoid just talking to them. Exciting isn't? If you want to listen to the whole interview (in Italian), you can find it here: https://lnkd.in/dtJ7CJif Special thank to Riccardo Consonni and the whole marketing team for putting together such a fantastic event.

Everyone builds their first robot on ROS2. Almost no one scales their company on it. ROS2 is flexible, modular, powerful, but when robots meet real-world operations, teams hit the same roadblocks:  • Instability under 24/7 workloads  • Complex maintenance & updates  • Few user-friendly tools for non-devs  • Endless integration pain Join our live online workshop to learn:  • The real economics of build vs. buy  • The hidden costs of prototyping with ROS2  • How Proxima Compass adds the industrial-grade robustness, integration, and scalability ROS2 is missing (any sensor, easy to configure, production-ready) For robot manufacturers, system integrators, and R&D teams ready to move beyond prototyping and scale to production. Very cool presents included.   Reserve your seat below 👇 https://lnkd.in/d2ncS8gP

The AMR market will reach $21B by 2030. But most robots being built today will never reach production. Here’s why: ROS2 is fantastic for prototyping. It’s flexible, modular, open-source, and fast to iterate on. But when you try to scale a ROS2-based robot into real industrial environments, a very different set of problems emerges: • 24/7 stability • Safety and compliance • Sensor interoperability • Updates and maintainability • Tools for non-developers • Production-grade reliability And this gap between prototype and production is where most AMR projects slow down or fail. This is exactly why we’re hosting a live workshop: “From ROS2 to the Real World: Building the Next Generation of Industrial AMRs” November 26th — 5:00 PM CET Proxima Robotics A practical, engineering-focused session for robot manufacturers, ROS2 developers, system integrators, and R&D teams. What we’ll cover: • Build or Buy? The real economics of robot development • The hidden cost of relying only on ROS2 • How Proxima Compass adds the robustness, interoperability, and scalability needed for real industrial deployment—while staying fully ROS2-compatible If you’re building AMRs or planning to scale them in 2025, this session will likely save you months of development and thousands in engineering costs. Innovation is served. The global restaurant robotics market is worth over $5B in 2024 and will reach $21B by 2033 (CAGR 17.8%). Growth is driven by fast food, fast casual, food logistics, and autonomous delivery. Asia-Pacific (APAC) leads the expansion (+15% YoY), followed by North America and Europe. Restaurants adopting mobile robots report: ✅ +25% faster service ✅ +15% higher average order value ✅ +20% customer satisfaction Robots now combine LiDAR, 3D vision, predictive AI, autonomous navigation for crowded spaces, and voice/touch interfaces. Yet many rely on open-source ROS2 stacks, not suited for continuous industrial use due to stability, security, and maintenance issues. This is where Proxima Compass makes the difference: robust, modular, easy to integrate, compatible with multi-sensor setups, adaptable to dynamic layouts, and ready for 24/7 operation. With Proxima Compass, manufacturers move from prototype to commercial product, reducing development time and cost — essential for hospitality, cleaning, and delivery robots seeking industrial-grade plug & play solutions. The next evolution of hospitality isn’t just automated — it’s intelligent, scalable, and ready for real-world impact. #ProximaRobotics #ProximaCompass #RestaurantRobotics #MobileRobotics #HospitalityTech #Automation

99% of mobile robot companies start on ROS2. Almost none scale on it. If you’re feeling the pain… you’re not alone. ROS2 is an incredible open-source framework: flexible, modular, powerful. It’s perfect for prototyping, and that’s exactly the problem. When you try to bring a ROS2-based robot into actual industrial environments, the cracks show up fast: • Instability during 24/7 operations • Complex maintenance and updates • Endless integration issues with sensors • Zero tools for non-developers • A gap between prototype and production that kills timelines (and budgets) This is the silent bottleneck slowing down robot manufacturers worldwide. And it’s exactly why we’re hosting this workshop 👇 ✅ November 26th. 5:00 PM CET “From ROS2 to the Real World: Building the Next Generation of Industrial AMRs” ✅ Register here: https://lnkd.in/d4Ezabif A live, practical workshop for robot manufacturers, ROS2 developers, system integrators, and R&D teams who want to move beyond prototyping and scale. (Compatible with any sensor, easy to configure, ready for production.) Plus: very cool presents for attendees.

👉 What do you use for building 𝐔𝐬𝐞𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐬? At Proxima Robotics we’ve been exploring how web technologies can power the interfaces for robotic systems. Because let’s be honest — opening Chrome is easier than installing a stack of dependencies and native clients. ✅ Web apps make life simpler for users: no setup, instant updates, and access from anywhere. But it’s not all smooth sailing — the web wasn’t built to talk to robots, so there’s real work in making protocols, latency, and security play nicely. 🤝Still, the trade-off feels worth it. The web is becoming a natural layer between humans and machines — flexible, scalable, and (mostly) hassle-free. Curious to hear from my network: Have you gone full web, or do you still prefer native solutions?
