Job Title: Chapter Lead

Location: Manyata Tech Park, Bangalore

Business & Team: Chief Technology Office (CTO)

Impact & contribution: As the Chapter Lead for the SNAF crew, you will be responsible for the growth, capability development, and performance of chapter members who specialize in secure network automation and foundational infrastructure. You will act as a people leader, technical mentor, and strategic enabler, ensuring your chapter delivers high-quality, secure, and scalable solutions aligned with enterprise goals.

Roles & responsibilities:

People Leadership & Development

  • Lead and coach a chapter of network engineers, automation specialists, and security-focused technologists.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, psychological safety, and technical excellence.
  • Conduct regular 1:1s, performance reviews, and career development planning.

Capability Building

  • Define and evolve the chapter’s technical capabilities in secure network automation, infrastructure-as-code, and foundational services.
  • Identify skill gaps and implement training, mentoring, and hiring strategies to address them.
  • Promote best practices in DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native networking.

Collaboration & Alignment

  • Partner with the Crew Lead to ensure chapter members are effectively deployed across squads and initiatives.
  • Align chapter goals with crew-level and enterprise-level strategies.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing across squads and chapters.

Technical Leadership

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in secure networking and automation.
  • Guide chapter members in adopting modern tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
  • Support architectural decisions and technical governance.

Operational Excellence

  • Ensure chapter members adhere to security, compliance, and operational standards.
  • Drive improvements in delivery velocity, quality, and reliability.
  • Champion automation and observability across network services.

Essential skills:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience.
  • Proven experience in leading technical teams in agile environments.
  • Experience in Automation tools like Ansible, Terraform etc
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps principles and enterprise security frameworks.
  • Good to have network design, including routing, switching, and related technologies.
  • Good to have cloud infrastructure.
  • Excellent interpersonal, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with agile delivery models, including squads, chapters, and tribes.

Education Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology.
