Ein Abend, der Kulturgeschichte schreibt: Der Deutsche Kulturpreis 2025 würdigte zwei herausragende Persönlichkeiten – Herta Müller und Dr. Maria Furtwängler. Herta Müller, deutschsprachige Schriftstellerin rumänischer Herkunft und Literaturnobelpreisträgerin, steht für literarische Unerschrockenheit. Ihre Werke mahnen eindrucksvoll für Freiheit und Menschenwürde und geben Opfern von Repression eine Stimme – gerade heute von großer Bedeutung. Dr. Maria Furtwängler wurde mit dem Ehrenpreis geehrt. Durch die von ihr gegründete MaLisa Stiftung setzt sie sich intensiv für Geschlechtergerechtigkeit, Diversität und den Schutz von Klima und Artenvielfalt ein. Mit Projekten wie „Das Ende der Insekten?“ rückt sie die Bedeutung von Biodiversität ins öffentliche Bewusstsein. MEISSEN ist stolz darauf, diesen wichtigen Kulturpreis erneut begleiten zu dürfen. Überreicht wurden die handgefertigten Preisskulpturen von Tillmann Blaschke, CEO der Porzellan-Manufaktur MEISSEN, an die beiden Preisträgerinnen. Die Skulptur „Schwinge“, entworfen vom ehemaligen Chefplastiker Jörg Danielczyk, symbolisiert einen Flügel – und damit Freiheit, Natur und kulturelle Entfaltung. Herta Müller, a German-language author of Romanian origin and Nobel laureate, is renowned for her fearless literary voice. Her works advocate for freedom and human dignity, giving a voice to victims of repression – a message of striking relevance today. Dr. Maria Furtwängler received the Honorary Award for her dedication to gender equality, diversity, and the protection of climate and biodiversity. Through the MaLisa Foundation, she brings these issues to the forefront, including the impactful project “The End of Insects?” which raised public awareness about biodiversity loss. MEISSEN is proud to support this moment and present both laureates with handcrafted porcelain award sculptures. The piece, titled “Schwinge” and designed by Jörg Danielczyk, represents a wing – symbolizing freedom and the harmony between nature and culture.

MEISSEN x DEUTSCHER SPORTPRESSEBALL 2025 Der 43. Deutscher SportpresseBall stand unter dem Motto „Una notte olimpica“ und vereinte rund 2.200 Gäste in der Alten Oper Frankfurt. Im Mittelpunkt des glanzvollen Abends standen die PEGASOS-Preise, die in diesem Jahr unter anderem an Rudi Völler als „Legende des Sports“, Kristina Vogel als „Sportlerin mit Herz“ und Sportjournalist Hartmut Scherzer in der Kategorie „Sportmedien“ verliehen wurden. Die exklusiv für den Deutschen SportpresseBall entworfene PEGASOS-Skulptur aus MEISSEN Porzellan gehört inzwischen zu den begehrtesten Auszeichnungen Deutschlands. Mit einer in Deutschland noch nie da gewesene Aktion begeisterte MEISSEN die Gäste mit einer Reise durch die Welt des Meissener Porzellans. Im mehrgängigen Ball-Menü wurde die Vielfalt des „Weißen Goldes“ sichtbar – vom ikonischen Schwanenservice über das moderne N°41 Wellenspiel Relief, die verspielten Blüten des N°41 Royal Blossom bis hin zu den klaren Linien des Vitruv Graphic.
