🌍✨ Over the past two weeks, global leaders, climate negotiators, and industry players gathered in Brazil for COP30 to address the urgent actions needed to combat climate change. This conference marks a significant return to where the first joint action on emissions was agreed upon back in 1992 at COP0. However, this year's event in Belém, nestled in the heart of the Amazon rainforest, was anything but a retrospective celebration. Instead, it brought new themes to the forefront of our fight against climate change. For the first time, COP has placed a strong emphasis on agriculture as a vital part of the climate solution through the introduction of the AgriZone. Over the past decade, Brazil has demonstrated how agriculture can grow sustainably while safeguarding our natural resources. The AgriZone highlighted both the resilience and fragility of nature, showcasing the transformation of tropical agriculture and its crucial role in ensuring food security and environmental protection. Our team, which includes Bill Anderson, Rodrigo Santos, and Matthias Berninger, was greatly impressed by COP30 and especially the AgriZone.
