𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻 𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗺 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝘀 𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝗶𝘁 𝘂𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲. Traditionally, a single crystal sensor was used to monitor the deposition rate of each material source. But in large-area coatings or when working with materials that sublimate easily, this can lead to inconsistent film thickness and poor uniformity. Why? Because deposition sources rarely produce a perfect, uniform flux. The material cloud is dynamic and shifts throughout the process. That’s where multipoint deposition control comes in. By using multiple sensors to monitor the flux distribution across the coating area, engineers can control an aggregate deposition rate, not just a single point. The result: better thickness reproducibility, improved process stability, and higher-quality films. Whether you're working with optics or data, clarity makes all the difference. In thin film manufacturing, the ability to see what's happening in real time, layer by layer, can be the difference between a good product and a great one. Just like a motocross racer needs to read the terrain and respond instantly, engineers need visibility into their deposition process to stay ahead of potential issues. When processes are clear and controlled, teams can reduce waste, improve reproducibility, and deliver coatings that perform exactly as intended. It's not just about precision. It's about empowering engineers to make confident decisions and helping the world see more clearly. It’s why we created Zevision IMC300. 📽️ Watch our intro video here: https://lnkd.in/dWyRY3YJ #Quality #IntelligentSensorSolutions

When selecting a thickness controller based on QCM technology, long-term flexibility is often a key consideration. If new features or improvements are available 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 purchase or installation, implementing them shouldn’t be a hassle. Yet most manufacturers require hardware to be shipped back for firmware updates, which can lead to weeks of downtime and lost productivity. INFICON Zevision® IMC300 eliminates that downtime. Designed with field-updatable firmware, users can install new features and improvements onsite, often in just minutes, with no shipping or delays. Our recent updates have introduced powerful capabilities such as: • Spatial averaging • Logic statements • Co-deposition Discover how the IMC300 can be a key asset for your next deposition process: https://lnkd.in/dcy-q2jW #INFICON #IMC300 #Innovation #Efficiency #IntelligentSensorSolutions #QCM #OpticalCoaters #GeneralOptics
