You will be pivotal in ensuring the performance and reliability of all sites within your region. You will lead field teams, manage operational budgets and resources, and deliver against SLAs and KPIs. This role is central to maintaining service excellence, operational efficiency, and strong regional stakeholder engagement.
Role Responsibilities
As a Zonal Operations Manager, you will be responsible for:
Leading the day-to-day management and performance of all sites within the allocated region.
Ensuring preventative and corrective maintenance targets are achieved in line with SLAs.
Directing and supporting field supervisors and teams to deliver operational excellence.
Conducting routine site inspections and delivering accurate, timely performance reports to the Head of Operations.
Managing budgets, spare parts availability, and fleet readiness to support uninterrupted operations.
Investigating operational issues, implementing corrective measures, and driving continuous improvement.
Championing energy efficiency, cost reduction, and quality assurance initiatives.
Leading regional kick-off activities for new projects and ensuring they meet quality and compliance standards.
Enforcing SHEQ and HSE requirements, ensuring safety and environmental standards are maintained across all sites.
Acting as the regional point of contact, ensuring clear communication and alignment with internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders.
Requirements for the Role
To succeed in this role, you will have:
A Diploma or Degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering.
5–10+ years’ management experience, including leading teams and contractors in complex operational environments.
3–5 years’ commercial experience, ideally in telecoms or a similar technical/engineering sector.
Proven ability to deliver against SLAs, KPIs, and operational budgets while ensuring service reliability.
Strong technical knowledge combined with regional operational understanding.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data into actionable decisions.
Excellent organisational, planning, and project management skills with a structured, results-driven approach.
Clear and compelling communication skills, with experience reporting to senior stakeholders.
