Leadership development in action! Recently, Volaris wrapped up the 2025 Volaris Executive Growth Academy (VEGA). Every year since 2023, we've brought together a group of high-potential senior leaders to the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management for an intensive program that sharpens fundamental management skills, guides strategic planning, and reviews case studies. "VEGA is designed to bring cutting-edge research and insight from academics to our team of software industry leaders," says Volaris Group CEO Mike Dufton. Last month, Volaris Group’s Smith portfolio hosted its talent development event, EDGE, in Southern California. The event brought 200+ of our brightest minds from 30+ companies across the globe. The event opened with remarks from Portfolio Leader Gordon Smith, who set the stage by emphasizing this year’s central theme: growth, profitability, and unlocking business potential through AI. Over four days, participants engaged in more than 100 breakout sessions covering over 60 unique topics, all designed to foster collaboration, share best practices, and strengthen relationships across the portfolio.
