Over the weekend, our employees took on the 45th Annual United Way ClimbUP at the CN Tower as part of our 2025 employee campaign for United Way Greater Toronto! Climbing 1,776 steps was no small feat — but it was filled with smiles, determination and an unforgettable challenge. It was also a great way to support United Way’s mission to fight local poverty and build stronger, more inclusive communities. We’re proud of our employees for living our campaign theme: Own the Outcome. Together, we’re making a difference — one step at a time. #UnitedWay #OwnTheOutcome #CommunityImpact #EmployeeEngagement #AnyWayWeCan #ClimbUP2025

We’re joining the conversation at the upcoming Electrification (with the Experts) webinar, hosted by Toronto Home Energy Network. The session will explore how homeowners can transition to electric heating — even in older homes with radiator systems. If you’ve been wondering whether a heat pump could work for your space, this is a great opportunity to learn more. There’ll be live Q&A, real-world examples and insights into free energy coaching available to our customers. 🔗 RSVP here: https://lnkd.in/dUY8gEiY #ClimateAction #HeatPumpSolutions #HomeHeating #EnergyTransition #SustainableHomes
~RSVP: https://lnkd.in/dUY8gEiY Radiators give off lovely, even heat, and they're part of the charm of old houses. But most radiators are hooked up to gas boilers. Can you keep your rads and get a clean, efficient heat pump, too? Our speakers will cover your options at the next Electrification (with the Experts) webinar on Tuesday, November 25th, 6:30 pm-7:45 pm. Bring your boiling questions! There will be a live Q&A. ~Our Speakers: 🏠 Sarah Grant founded Goldfinch Energy to help Torontonians eliminate fossil fuels from their homes. Her company has advised on over 1,000 heat pump installations in Toronto — 300 of those homes are now off gas entirely. She knows the home energy world inside and out! 🏠 Michael Atalick coaches Torontonians who want to make their homes modern, comfortable, electric, and sustainable. He'll talk about the free coaching programs that are available to Toronto Hydro customers through their new Furnace Upgrade Program. 🏠 The Toronto Home Energy Network builds home electrification community groups across Toronto. These groups provide personalized coaching, technology demonstrations, and make electrification what it should be: a smooth, stress-free way to improve your home's comfort and sustainability. See you there!

Today, on #RemembranceDay, our executive team joined ceremonies across the city and our crews lowered flags to half-mast to honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who have served and continue to serve Canada. As we mark 80 years since the end of WWII, we’re reminded of the lasting impact of those who fought for our freedom — not only through their service, but through the innovations they inspired. Dr. Ross Tilley, a Canadian plastic surgeon and Royal Canadian Air Force medical officer, developed groundbreaking burn care techniques during the war that continue to shape treatment today. His contributions live on at Sunnybrook’s Ross Tilley Burn Centre, Canada’s largest burn centre. Over the years, we’ve proudly helped raise more than $5 million to support advancements in electrical burn care so patients receive the specialized treatment they need. We remain committed to building a future defined by care, innovation and impact. #LestWeForget

When you think of STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics), you might picture engineers building bridges or scientists in labs. But some of the most critical STEM work happens behind the scenes — like with our Customer & Power System Logistics Dispatchers. Ahead of #NationalSTEMDay, we’re shining a light on these unsung heroes who help keep our city safe and connected. When a storm hits or a powerline goes down, they’re the first point of contact, coordinating real-time responses between field crews, emergency services and the public. This isn’t just answering phones — it’s STEM in action. Dispatchers use sophisticated tools like Oracle Field Service and integrated outage management platforms to track crews, map outages, estimate restoration times and streamline work orders — all in real time. For students exploring STEM careers, our team encourages looking into the utility sector. It’s a space where innovation, purpose and growth go hand in hand, and your work can make a real impact every day. Swipe through to learn from the team about what their role means to them. #STEM #Technology #TroubleDispatch

Yesterday, we proudly welcomed grade 9 students into our workplace for Take Our Kids to Work Day, offering a hands-on look at how we power Toronto every day. This year’s theme, “Lift Up the Future,” encouraged us to support young people as they explore their career paths and imagine the world they want to build. Throughout the day, students took part in a defensive driving simulation, explored technical field work through virtual reality, experienced a day in the life of an engineer and tried out activities that showcase the work of our powerline technicians. By opening our doors, we’re helping students discover the many paths into the energy sector — and encouraging them to imagine their future in our industry. Thank you to everyone who helped make this day a success! #TakeOurKidsToWorkDay
