  • Meet Camille, Registered Nurse at MGH. “As a labour and delivery nurse, I support families through every step of the birthing process: answering questions, providing comfort through contractions, coaching during pushing and helping families have the birth experience they hope for. “I work with an incredible group of nurses. The senior nurses are knowledgeable and kind, and I was lucky to start alongside a cohort of new grads who have become some of my closest friends. We support each other through everything. “I’m really inspired by the women I care for. There’s something powerful about women supporting women through labour and birth. The trust and connection that forms in those moments is something I’ll never take for granted.” Learn more about Camille: https://bit.ly/47Pd9Fi #WelcometoMGH #RegisteredNurse #WeAreHiring #TorontoJobs #HospitalJobs

This year’s theme, “Behind the Mask: Advocacy, Compassion, and Surgical Excellence” highlights some of the most valuable and impactful qualities that perioperative nurses demonstrate in the high-stakes environment of the operating room. • It takes a community. 💚 This past October, over 175 healthcare professionals, students, volunteers and community leaders gathered at the Ismaili Centre, Toronto for MGH’s 18th Annual Palliative Care Symposium. This year's theme “It Takes a Community: Palliative Care Where People Are” brought together hospitals, long-term care, hospices, primary care and community organizations. Participants attended sessions covering topics on providing palliative care to people experiencing homelessness, ethical considerations, communication, Indigenous health and how to humanize difficult conversations. Thank you to everyone who made this powerful day of connection and learning possible, especially to our partners at The Ismaili Centre, Toronto, Anishnawbe Health Toronto and the Indigenous Cancer Program. A special note of gratitude to all our sponsors, including the support of the Moez & Marissa Kassam Equity Fund, Heritage Funeral Centre, McDougall & Brown Funeral Home - Scarborough Chapel and The Death Deck. Together, we’re building a future where compassionate palliative care is accessible to everyone, everywhere.

Thank you to all who participated! 🌠

  • Today, on #RemembranceDay, we express our deepest gratitude and honour the soldiers and veterans who are serving or who have served our country. We remember their courage, sacrifice and dedication to protecting our freedom. Following the Second World War, we served as Toronto’s temporary veteran’s hospital until 1948, caring for those returning from service. We continue to honour their legacy within our hospital and community. #LestWeForget
