  • We hosted our very first Women's Summit earlier this month.   Teams across our locations gathered in-person and virtually to celebrate, connect, and empower women and allies under the theme "Nourish to Flourish: Women, Identity, and Wellbeing."    Through keynote sessions, interactive workshops, and panel discussions, participants explored the vital intersection of identity, wellness, and community. "I'm truly grateful and moved that we had this opportunity to get together as a community for our first Women’s Summit. It was precious to see the intersection of members and allies from across our Employee Resources groups bond over shared stories, laughter, and through lifting one another up, "said Indra Sofian, Women's Alliance for Voice and Empowerment Co-Lead. "This summit marks a milestone since launching WAVE in 2020, reaffirming our commitment to trust, wellness, and empowering authenticity at work for women and everyone else at Jamieson. It beautifully reflects our purpose of Inspiring Better Lives Every Day.” A heartfelt thank you to our WAVE Employee Resource Group and the organizing committee, our partner The Rise Journey as well as our Panelists Brad Harris, Regan Stewart P.Eng., GCB.D, CCB.D, MBA, Angela Blackwell and Chava Coleman Perry for creating such a meaningful experience. • We are pleased to welcome Gayle Tait to our Board of Directors. “The VMS marketplace is experiencing a shift towards digital and social ecommerce globally,” said Tim Penner, Chair of the Board of Jamieson Wellness. “As consumers continue to seek out digital communities to support their health and wellness journeys, understanding this rapidly growing and changing environment is crucial to growing with them. “Gayle has an impressive track record of driving enterprise expansion and value, particularly through digital innovation in both C-suite and Board roles. Her unique blend of experience in global CPG and tech offers tremendous value to our Board as we navigate the digital opportunities ahead of us in the VMS space. We feel very fortunate to welcome Gayle to Jamieson Wellness and look forward to working together to expedite our growth worldwide.” Ms. Tait’s executive experience in both public and private companies spans over 25 years, including roles at Google Play, L’Oréal UK consumer products division, and most recently as CEO of Trove, a venture-backed circular economy business. She currently serves on the board of e.l.f. Beauty (NYSE: ELF), where she has helped guide the company through a period of hypergrowth, international expansion and operational scale. During her tenure, e.l.f has become a leader in community-based business, pioneering in non-traditional digital channels to connect with the consumer and bring the values of the company to life. She also contributed to strategy and oversight during e.l.f’s brand acquisitions of Naturium Skin and rhode Beauty. “Health and wellness is transforming as people take greater ownership of their personal health, and digital innovation is only just beginning to shape what’s possible,” said Gayle. “Jamieson’s science-based, high-quality approach to helping consumers live longer, healthier lives deeply resonates with me, and I’m excited to partner with the team to drive what’s next.”

Last week, I returned to the Goodman School of Business at Brock University to speak with the next generation of business leaders.   I go to share insights, but I always leave with more than I bring. These conversations remind me why mentorship matters and why every leader should make time for it. You never know which moment will be the one that changes someone's path.   I encourage anyone with a platform to show up for young professionals. One conversation really can make all the difference.   Thank you to the team at Goodman for hosting me and to Jamieson Wellness Inc. for helping me give back through our Day of Giving Program.

  • Packing dried soup for a good cause! Earlier this week, our Regulatory Affairs, Consumer Affairs, Project Management Office, and Research teams in Canada volunteered at Southwestern Ontario Gleaners, an organization that fights hunger by providing free dehydrated vegetable mixes to those in need. Together, they packed 100,000 dried servings of soup destined for community partners and relief agencies in Canada, Ukraine, Africa, and Central America. Way to give back, team!

  • Today, on National Day for Truth and Reconciliation and Orange Shirt Day, we honour Indigenous children in Canada who never returned home from residential schools and the survivors who carry this history forward. A significant part of Canada's truth and reconciliation journey is answering the Truth and Reconciliation Commission's 94 Calls to Action. At Jamieson Wellness, we're answering Call to Action 92 by adopting the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples as our reconciliation framework. A key action we've taken is our partnership with Caldwell First Nation and the Essex Region Conservation Authority. Together, we're transforming 40 acres of former agricultural land in Leamington into forest and prairie habitats - land that gained reserve status after 230 years of efforts to reclaim ancestral territory. Over three years, we've planted 35,000 trees, creating critical habitats, enhancing biodiversity, and strengthening climate resilience in this vital watershed. By elevating Indigenous voices and investing in ecosystem restoration, we're building a sustainable future where people, nature, and culture thrive together.
