This #InternationalMensDay, we’re reminded that working together creates a workplace where everyone feels safe and supported to speak up. To mark the day, our Wellness team partnered with our Employee Resource Group, Men As Allies, to host SpeakEasy by Movember, a workshop focused on men’s mental health. The session offered valuable tools for anyone who’s struggled, knows someone navigating mental health challenges, or simply wants to support a colleague.

Safety first protects our teams and the communities we serve. Kyle, a regional maintainer - lines, based out of Kapuskasing, is a true champion of this commitment. Kyle ensures safety remains front and center by diligently reporting on unsafe situations early on. His actions underscore that safety is driven by care for people, not just compliance. These moments of comfort and connection support a healthier workplace. Because when our people feel their best, they can continue to deliver the essential customer service our customers rely on every day.

It’s great to be back in my role as President and CEO and to see firsthand the important work our teams are doing to power progress across Ontario. Today, we were pleased to welcome Ontario’s Minister of Energy and Mines, the Honourable Stephen Lecce, to Hydro One. As we plan for the province’s growing energy needs, collaboration and partnership remain essential.  I appreciated the opportunity to discuss how we can continue working together to invest in a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy future for the people of Ontario. 

Today we solemnly observe Remembrance Day. We honour Canadian heroes for their service and courage, dedicating this moment to thoughtful reflection on the sacrifices made by veterans and their families, and loved ones. Their strength and courage is a legacy we carry together. Lest we forget.
