When Grace became pregnant, she faced overwhelming uncertainty. She needed more than just a place to stay, she needed stability, encouragement, and the opportunity to create a better future. At Abiona Centre, Grace found the tools, support, and community to grow into the confident, resilient mother she is today. Her story is a powerful reminder of why it matters to invest in vulnerable young families, creating spaces where they are seen, heard, and supported. 💛You can give a young mother and her baby safety, hope, and a future. Something’s blooming at Abiona Centre! ✨🌿 We’re thrilled to share that our Broadview garden has been beautifully refreshed—just in time for summer! With generous donations from Sobeys and No Frills, we were able to add new plants, soil, and life to this special space. Our garden is more than just greenery—it’s a peaceful place where moms can recharge, children can explore, and our community can come together in nature. Thank you to our wonderful supporters for helping us grow—inside and out. #AbionaCentre #CommunitySupport #BroadviewGarden #ThankYouSobeys #ThankYouNoFrills

Today is International Self-Compassion Day! At Abiona Centre, we know how vital it is to care for others—but just as important is caring for yourself. Self-compassion means treating yourself with the same kindness and understanding you would give a close friend. It’s a powerful tool that helps reduce stress, build resilience, and remind you that you are never alone. Take a moment today to breathe deeply, forgive yourself for mistakes, and remember: you deserve your own kindness. Join us in spreading self-compassion—for yourself and for the world. #SelfCompassionDay #AbionaCentre #YouAreEnough #KindnessStartsWithin #MentalWellbeing

July 1 marks the 4th anniversary of the amalgamation of Massey Centre and Humewood House — now proudly known as Abiona Centre. Four years ago, we came together with a shared vision: to better support young mothers, pregnant individuals, and their children through holistic, inclusive, and empowering care. Since then, we've strengthened our services, expanded our community, and continued to walk alongside those we serve with compassion and commitment. Thank you to our staff, supporters, volunteers, and most importantly, the young families who trust us every day. Here’s to many more years of transformation and togetherness! #AbionaCentre #4YearsStrong #CommunityCare #SupportYoungFamilies
