Reporting to the Senior Benefits Manager, the Senior Benefits Specialist will be an integral part of the Total Rewards team. They will help manage key programs within our benefit offerings, initially focused on improving our leave and accommodation management processes. The ideal candidate will have a deep, subject matter knowledge on leaves and be comfortable with leading our vendors and internal stakeholders in discussions about best practices and process improvement. They should have experience in benefits operations, compliance, and communications and be willing to contribute to a variety of projects to enhance the benefits experience of our employees.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist with the redesign and improvement of business processes related to leave administration, accommodations, and other key benefit offerings including health, retirement, and perks.
Analyze company-specific data and utilization insights, market trends, and best practices to inform benefit strategy and make recommendations to leadership.
Develop employee communications and deliver trainings to educate employees, managers, and HR Business Partners about benefit offerings, policies, and processes.
Manage relationships with third-party vendors and benefit providers—including our leave administrator and other service providers—to ensure accurate service delivery and a seamless employee experience.
Review and coordinate workplace accommodation requests in partnership with Employee Relations, engaging in the interactive process and consulting with employment counsel as needed for complex situations.
Partner cross-functionally to support benefit-related reporting requests, biweekly payroll processing, data reconciliations, audits, and compliance projects.
Monitor regulatory changes affecting leave, accommodations, and other benefit programs to ensure compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws.
Provide day-to-day support for a range of employee benefit programs both in and outside of the US, ensuring timely issue resolution and exceptional service.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and 5+ years related benefits and/or absence management experience; global experience is a plus
Strong knowledge of U.S. state and federal laws pertaining to protected leaves and accommodations; awareness of global best practices is a plus
Excellent customer service and process improvement orientation; ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and good judgment.
Excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills; strong written/verbal communication skills.
Experience with Workday, ADP, and PowerPoint is highly desired.
