November is National Native American Heritage Month. This month and every month, we celebrate the ingenuity, culture, and resiliency of Native communities.
November is National Native American Heritage Month. This month and every month, we celebrate the ingenuity, culture, and resiliency of Native communities.
This month and throughout the year, First Nations celebrates how Native communities continue to grow and thrive, guided by deep-rooted knowledge, cultural values, and a commitment to future generations. Native peoples across the country work every day to preserve identity, restore balance, and care for their assets and lands.
First Nations every year commemorates National Native American Heritage Month with educational webinars, events, and opportunities to learn from one another. Last year, we shared news about our Native Arts community partners in a series of virtual and in-person events to honor Native American heritage. Revisit our 2024 National Native American Month resources.
This year, First Nations is featuring our Native Agriculture and Food Systems Investments program and their efforts to ensure Native foodways and traditional knowledge remain valued and preserved.
First Nations invites you to a powerful conversation with keepers of Native foodways, those who are safeguarding the seeds, stories, and systems that nourish Native communities. We’re highlighting the vital work of leaders in maternal health, first foods, and breastfeeding programs across Indian Country, honoring the deep connections between food, family, and the future.
