  • Every sport wants to do better – to get more people involved, to keep them involved, and hopefully for longer.    But our latest State of Sport report shows that two things are holding us back – facilities and volunteers. Even the largest organisations with the most resources say these are the limits on progress.    Because no matter how ambitious the plan, it’s hard to build momentum when you’ve run out of fields to play on or people to run the game.    The truth is that sport’s greatest assets are often invisible until they’re missing; The facilities we use. The place to play. The volunteer who makes it happen.    But while our lack of resources can feel like constraints, they can also be our greatest asset as they can spark creativity. What we are hearing is many sports, clubs and communities are finding new ways to redesign sport, share spaces and make sport fit into modern life.    At Vicsport, we are backing all of that - advocating for better facilities, supporting better volunteer systems, helping the people who turn up and open up the access to all our activities. Because sport doesn’t work without them.   See the full report at: https://bit.ly/3L3gYhm   #Vicsport #CommunitySport #Volunteers #Infrastructure #SportExperience
