About us

At Target, we’ve always been here to help families live better. But right now, we can see that what ‘better’ means is changing. Better means making choices that can change the world. Better is about a life that’s lived, not with more things, but with things that mean more. A life where quality is always valued over quantity. Where beauty is born from style and substance in equal measure. A better way of life, that’s within easy reach of all. That’s why everything from the products we make to the experience we create, is crafted with intention and a single purpose…To inspire families to live better.

  • We’re proud to share that Kmart Group delivered strong performance, with revenue up 2.9% to $11.4 billion and earnings up 9.2% to $1.05 billion. Both Kmart and Target saw increased customer numbers and transaction volumes, highlighting the strength of our value proposition and its relevance to customers. None of this would be possible without the commitment of our incredible team across stores, supply chain and support functions. Thank you for making these results possible. • Our purpose is to make everyday living brighter, for not only our Target customers, but for our team as well. Our new office at One Middle Road Chadstone is under construction, and the next phase of the fit out is underway. One Middle Road will be the new home of the Kmart Group support office teams, bringing our teams from Kmart and Target together for the first time. Our bright, technology enabled, modern office was designed to help our team collaborate, and provide improved amenities. Thanks to Vicinity Centres, Renascent and to all in our team who have contributed to getting us to this next phase of this project. We’re excited to move in 2026!

  • We’re proud to continue our partnership alongside Kmart, with First Nations creative agency Carbon Creative (Australia) to share the story of Jeremy Morgan Worrall, a proud Ngarbal Gamilaraay artist and this year’s National NAIDOC Artist of the Year. Jeremy’s work honours the strength and continuity of culture across generations — a message that sits at the heart of this year’s NAIDOC Week theme. Through this collaboration, we’re committed to amplifying First Nations voices and perspectives, and celebrating the stories that shape our communities.

As we celebrate NAIDOC Week, we’re proud to honour the culture and creativity of First Nations peoples. Meet Cameron Letondeur, a proud Gubbi Gubbi man from Target North Lakes. His digital artwork, Steps Forward, reflects the guidance of Ancestors and explores themes of strength, connection and legacy. Cameron’s work encourages young First Nations peoples to embrace their identity and carry their culture forward with pride.   His artwork will be displayed in the windows of selected Deadly Target stores during NAIDOC Week, sharing his vision with communities nationwide.   At Kmart and Target, we are committed to creating culturally safe environments where First Nations peoples feel heard and respected. For the third year, Kmart Group is proud to partner with the National NAIDOC Committee to distribute the official NAIDOC poster. Together with Kmart we will deliver posters across 459 store and office locations – helping bring this year’s theme to life in communities right across Australia.    Learn more about our Deadly Store network:
